Ok. I searched for other threads on this topic - and as you can imagine - the term 'blood' is quite popular here, so apologies now if I'm stealing someone else's line ...

Some thoughts on blood in the Hitman series:

1) I'd like more, please! Maybe I've become accustomed to gore in games (and sit playing like a blank-eyed shark, teetering on the edge between sanity and becomming a psycopath ... No). But it seems to me that Blood Money is, well, a little lacking in the blood department; at least compared to the previous titles. Maybe not ... nonetheless, I'd like more wink.gif Big, bloody spatters and gushing spurts of claret when I pop someone's head, or slit them wide. Tastefully done and not too over-played, of course. Please.

2) Blood trails when I drag a bleeding corpse across the floor. And the ability to clean up my mess afterwards.

3) Blood spatters and spurts that can stain 47's clothes, and mark him as the murder. More reasons to change (or wash?) clothes! More reasons to be tactical - and think carefully about the use of knives and point-blank shooting.

4) And I'll say it again... more blood, please. Not fountains. Just make it a bit more wet. After all, I feel as though Mr 47 really doesn't get the opportunity he deserves to pull those guns ... so when he does, I'd like it to be a bit more ... special.

Make it bloody. And mine a double cheers2.gif

There should be more blood for the more powerful guns, like the Spas, and less for the weaker pistols, like the six shooter. There should also be blodd stains on 47s clothes as well as the victim's. So you couldnt change cloths without anbody noticing the bloddy mess all over your shirt. This will encourage people to use the syringe and fiber wire.

I agree with cuts. I would also like stab wounds, and differnt stabbing motions. The horizontal strike is pretty cool but you cannot stab somebody like that if they are lying on the ground. It would also just be pretty sweet to stab someone right in the chest without them expecting it. And maybe a red ring around the neck after you use the fiber wire.

That's a good idea. I always find it a little silly that I can slit an enemies' throat, or shoot him in the back of the head, sending blood everywhere ... yet 47's crisp white shirt doesn't show a single stain.

The same goes for enemy uniforms. I can maul an opponent bloody, yet when I pick up his uniform, it's perfectly pressed and spotless. With the ideas here, players would have to use a "clean" attack to get a uniform; the fiber wire, syringe, knockout, or tazer, which makes more sense.

I like it. thumbsup03.gif

well cutting throats is a lot messier then in previous titles.

and the ability to, instead of slitting their throat, grab them swing your hand around and stab the in the heart. all in one fluid motion. that would be awesome! thumbsup03.gif

Yeah, and when 47 stabs he pulls the struggling victim downwards slowly...kinda like the syringe or fiber wire sometimes.

I think contracts was messier because an ensuing squirt of blood occured once someone was shot, but the bullet holes are too much.... in a good way.

I would just like to see more damage from the more, uh, "personal" weapons.

Cuts, Bruises, bloodied noses, dismemberment, maybe even fracturing peices of a weapon into the victim.

It's not just about the blood. Its definitly bloody enough. Just there should be a bit more realism behind the blood. The drag marks in that game are honestly crap. They could done much better. MGS always happens to have great drag marks.

Yeah there should be more blood. When I slash somones throat I expect ALOT of blood, actually ALL of their blood to pour out. If you stab/slash somone there should be marks on them. When I first played BM and learned about blood trails, I actually thought hitman could clean up blood. Theres so many mops and buckets on level if you noticed. Too bad he couldnt sad.gif When I crush somones skull with a baseball bat or hammer, I wanna see some bashed in heads. More gore please, makes the game funner to play. I also think blood stains should NEVER disappear.

i would like to see a step down from SOF type of violence, maybe not chunks taken out of heads & the such, but the rare realistc dismemberment, more blood puffs, sprays & better bullet holes (eaier to see & staying longer) would be great.

Well lets not forget blood money is basicly money to kill they didn't use the word blood in the title because of all the blood in the game.

I say maybe alittle more blood and that's it lets not kill everyone in the hallway and go swim in it.

The blood trail could be better instead of spots there could be lines and stricts. and if you don't clean it up it will lead gaurds right to the body.

I thought the amount of blood was enough and its behaviour a great step in the right direction in Blood Money (for example shooting someone while standing in the corner of a room leading to blood splattering on three different walls plus the floor), but I agree that it still has potential.
The thing about enemy uniforms getting bloody and disguises not working when the victim was shot - didn't they actually promise this for Blood Money? I am absolutely sure of reading it many times as a promised feature watering my mouth and then I realized it was not implemented... hmm2.gif

And the other point about 47 getting blood on his own clothes when standing too near to a person that gets shot - yes, please! When you think you absolutely have to go into a toilet cabin and shoot three people at point blank with a shotgun before stabbing the other two with a kitchen knife, you should look like a freaking butcher in a suit when you step out.
Give us more visible consequences on our own suit to shooting people at close range! tongue.gif

I agree with Phantasma.

Another thing is that the cleaners/maids were a promised feature for this installment; was that cancelled too?!
I do know that being able to clean up yourself was cancelled, however I have nothing against that since I think 47 should be pro enough not to make a mess in the first place!?
Never the less maybe there could be some cleaners for the next game?
