Or, for those too lazy to click, I will show the most important part!

Good news...just not that surprising given that success of the series. A release date would have been bloody nice, though...

This shuld be the completly groundbreaking one in the series. We've probably got multiple ideas right here on HMF that could do that.

expecially it being a next gen game it definatly should be game breaking. and i agree with PB alot of ideas on this site are good and sensier and should be implementedto make the next hitman groundbreaking along with an excellent stroy that isnt flashbacks liek the last 2 games, i personally didnt like them much it didnt seem as though you were in the game playing through it learning new information from the story.

Seconded. Flashbacks are all well and good, but really leave us detatched from the plot (in some cases, what little there is - Stand up 'Contracts' and feel ashamed). It'd be nice to see a full-blown epic drama unfold, instead of just backtracking to past hits.

So, as IOI is always working on two games, then the second would be Hitman tongue.gif Nice!

It should be a lot better since its next gen games. I sgree with stewart.c, many ideas on this forum are good, and it would be nice to see them in the game.

You have to be joking. You think they'd stick to it even if a date was announced?

Anyway, nice of Eidos to let us know. Here's hoping for a slightly more original (and longer) experience.

a release date is out of the question, but the title of the game would definatly have been nice, alot of discussion and thoughts come from a game title as it creates the possiblity of the events of the game, i realy hope it has its own story thet starts from the end of BM and isnt flash backs, also new locations again aswell would be nice but also some of the classic ones.

I'm a little worried that Hitman 5 is going to be to Blood Money what Contracts was to Hitman 2. They made Blood Money to be a new, revamped Hitman experience, like they did with Hitman 2.

There's not that much more ground to cover with the Hitman series. IOI/Eidos needs to wait until the technology is sufficient to create a true simulation of being a Hitman. Something where the AI is completely realistic and clever players can plan and execute their own original strategies.

For example!

Whenever someone goes into a bathroom stall, they're fair game for killing, and you can pretty much leave the body there and nobody will ever find it.

And in "Til Death Do Us Part," I want to be able to find food in the party tent, sedate it, and throw it to the dog that guards the right side of the mansion.

I want to stop playing Hitman according to the rules of how you play Hitman, and start playing it according to how you would do things in real life. Ya dig?

I totally agree. I'd be willing to wait an extra year just for them to work out the AI and physics to make them more realistic. There are games a lot older than BM that deal with that stuff much better.

Also, no more flashbacks, please! It was perfectly done in the first Hitman, with brief clips of the "fathers" talking (in flashback scenes), but I don't want to play levels of times that already happened. Agent 17's right, let's move out of the old "rules" of the Hitman series, and get into more of a life simulation.

the only way to please most of the people taht play the game is to listen to their ideas. they should search the most popular hitman sites (hitman forum) and find what most people agree with.

No big surprise that they've confirmed a sequel. This franchise is all about the quick buck for Eidos. I feel sorry for IOI, it'd be nice if they could get published by a company that cares about the games.

Contracts was a cop out, even if enjoyable to play, once. Blood Money was horrible. The game was half finished upon release and they've stopped supporting it after two patches. TWO patches folks, that's what we get for helping to make Blood Money the highest grossing game of the series, even though it's the worst one.

Sure, there's a couple snazzy gameplay elements like pushing and the human shield that were added. These, in my opinion, are greatly overshadowed by the *console derived control system and the shear ease of gameplay. This game makes the phrase Artificial Intelligence an oxymoron. When you should be getting busted, everyone's oblivious. But when you're doing absolutely nothing, and nobody should care, you're getting shot at.

*I've got no problem with console controls when I'm playing something on a console. However, when I purchase a game for PC, I don't expect to feel like I should have a controller in hand. The 'action' hud in BM is the most rediculous thing I've ever seen. I'm on a PC, I've got the ability to use more than 12 buttons.

Meh, I'll quit ranting now, I doubt I'll play Hitman 5 though.

i agree with most of keyser soze his ideas ands rants are true, and also agent 17, u finaly put into words what i couldnt, wanting to play the hitman game by my rules they way i want and think not eidos'.

and keyser u brought up one of the most important issues ever, the shooting, what about getting arested, that mite turn into anther level of getting out maybe jsut pay ur own bill to get out etc, or ur agency breaks u out and u have to take the nevidence back or something. but i hate the way u just walk into a restricted area and BAM ur being shot at, they need to sort of "human sheild" 47 and walk him out the restriced area with a warning and then if u repeat it u get shot etc.
