I found my G36 clone very comfortable, surprisingly light, and accurate as hell. The dual optics meant you'd have to keep it in low ready until spotting a target or accept losing 50% of your peripheral vision, which was a downer (the battery housing and red-dot switch made the optics rediculously wide). Recoil was extremely light, too, compared to my M4gery. I was very sad to see the XM8 passed over for the S.C.A.R. : /

Maybe we'll see a G36 in a future Hitman game. You can build it anywhere from a light carbine, to battle rifle, to squad automatic weapon. It's a very modular platform and a joy to clean (again, compared to the Stoner operating system).

it may be accurate, recoil-resistant, good for multi purposes, but i don't like the iron sights and it is really ugly. i like the m4 mucho mucho more!

(i only ever used the G36 on BF2)

pfft. at least my guide told you where you could also get melee and non-keeps weapons.

Dave's guide > your guide.

No traditional AK47 this time round :D

Did you just come to that conclusion? :brick:

I was just commenting that every game in the series has had one, and they are very common/traditional in games set in the present day. :P

I can see that, the M16/M4 is as American as Apple Pie and feels right to the eye for many people. Opinions always differ. As one who's owned and fired civvie versions of both the G36 and M4, all I can say is I'm never going back to the filthy M16/M4 Stoner design again. I might purchase one of the piston driven ones available these days, but I still prefer the G36. Then again, there are plenty of spec-ops types who say they're crap, so opinions differ. Here's a vid of two versions of the G36 in action, a G36k (guy showing off it's controlability) and MG36.

Excellent work on the guide, by the way, Dave. It's obvious you put lots of thought into it. I'm happy to find threads like this when we seem to be getting so many that deserve locking these days. Keep up the good work!

I think I have found a way you keep the custom 1911.On Amendment XXV the Albino has a custom 1911 so you could kill him and put it in a ICA crate

Doesn't work. It's not that we don't know where it is (The Albino carries one, Cayne carries one), it's that it doesn't get added to our inventory when we leave the level with it/store it in a crate. Thus the 1911 isn't keepable*.

*not a real word

In terms of design I think I prefer the HK 416, over the G36, and M4/M16, that's probably just me.

Actually, I just did one section each day. Some days I'd slack off, so it took a bit longer than I expected. But, now it's done, and I'm happy it is. Btw, I'm going to be trying to add the melee today.

Not meaning to be nitpicky, but not all the gator guys have a bull. The shotgun toting one only has a shotgun, and the snub nosed is a lot easier to find in the room with the FN2000

Great work again Dave - you might want to check up on your italics tags though. Some of the titles are in regular bold, some of the titles are in bold and italics - 'SNIPER RIFLES' has a visible

The code box? The code box is so that you can write code (which would usually change the text in your post) without it actually fucking up your post.

[i][img][b]etc etc.

Oh - ugh, I've had a lot of problems with them when I've written guides in the past. It's something to do with the font software on the forum (and the whatever programme you wrote the guide in). For instance, I've written the majority of my guides in MS Word - when you post them into the forum, if you just copy, paste, and post, it's fine. But then as soon as you hit the edit button, any of the following

' - "

turn into squares :( There's nothing you can do about it but go over the whole thing and change them back to what they should be - once you've done that, it'll remain fixed for good. It's the price you have to pay for pasting from MS word :o (which is of course essential when writing something like a guide, you can't type it all up into the open text window in one go, without great difficulty).
