I unfortunately live in Arkansas. I prefer Florida or Even Georgia to this shit hole of a state.

Hmm, I saw a starbucks a few miles from my house, but I'd rather use this than walk there. No, I'm not fat, I'm just too lazy to walk, run or jog to that starbucks. My luck would be that it's been closed for over a year. Even places like Krogers (Grocery store) are closing here.

No bestbuy in this place, only one is about a 30 min drive away.

The library allows people to go online for an hour per day.

It won't harm Insurance companies because it's only going to effect people who don't have insurance (ie can't afford it) and you're still better off with insurance. Any losses they take will be rather minimal, they're just worried it'll set a minimum set of standards they'll have to adhere to in order to be better than going without (well the HBOs are). Any companies that go under as a result of it will be doing so because they've been selling snakeoil.

It will help doctors because it'll mean they'll be able to treat more patients, thus having more demand for doctors.

Also, Healthcare is largely irrelevant to world peace.

Barack Obama, pretty much by his sheer presence in the White House, has improved the image of the United States abroad. That's at least noteworthy. He's also dedicated a significant amount of time as a senator and then as president to reducing the amount of nuclear weapons on the planet, including the US-Russian Summit last summer which agreed to begin reducing nuclear stockpiles that was pretty much ignored by everyone in this thread. So that's good.

Mikhail Gorbachev won a Nobel Prize for pretty much showing up as a leader in the Soviet Union, and for the ideas that he represented. So don't necessarily knock Obama for just showing up to the White House, as he's changed a lot of people's opinions on exactly what America represents in the world.
