Actually he was a child but but that picture is defiantly not him. The cloning labs is strictly a secret and none of the subjects were released on higher levels.

That painting reminds me more of Hans, the midget of Tod Browning's "Freaks", actually.
The role of Hans in that movie was played by Harry Earles, of a midget collective called The Doll Family.

He was never a child. Being a clone he was more than likely created as an adult, and also considering 47 does not feel emotion I don't think he would look that way in a photo.
No he was a child. Born as a test tube baby. They raised him. But they wouldn't take pictures of him. I learned this from the book "Hitman Enemy Within" which elaborates more in his character and past and is proved canon. The 48s and maybe 17 were were artificially altered to grow and age faster. 47 was not.

Does the Hitman book have the same story as the game?
It takes place sometime after Silent Assassin, it also talks alot on his past.
