I wonder if they're attacking Earth due to the crippling of the other species fleets, or more probably that it's Humans in particular that the Reapers want to remove/capture/something else like it's suggested in 2.
That assumes that people choose the Renegade option in the end of ME1.
My guess is that they want to Colectorize us.It´s the same cycle again. They tried to create a Prothean reaper. They failed. They turned the Protheans into Colectors.
They tried to create a Human Reaper. They failed. They are coming for us to get more troops against the rest of the galaxy, since they consider us the best species in terms of DNA.
And all questions and doubts aside, this is awesome news. The second one was the best game I´ve ever played, and I want the trilogy to go out with a bang.

Shepard spends the game assembling an interstellar army, having to decide between certain warring factions (Quarians/Geth, etc) to hit the Reapers while they're all in the vicinity of Earth. The end result ranges from a heroic sacrifice to overwhelming victory, but with the population of Earth being the tipping point - the longer you take, the better your army, but the greater casualties on Earth.

Just an educated guess, but:
Shepard spends the game assembling an interstellar army, having to decide between certain warring factions (Quarians/Geth, etc) to hit the Reapers while they're all in the vicinity of Earth. The end result ranges from a heroic sacrifice to overwhelming victory, but with the population of Earth being the tipping point - the longer you take, the better your army, but the greater casualties on Earth.
Yeah, something like what happens depending of how long you waited to go to the Colector base on ME2 after they take the Sr-2´s crew.

Or Dragon Age Origins. You can certainly see it being set up in ME2; taking sides on the Geth debate with the Quarians, Wrex's talk of uniting the Krogan clans. I have to say I was slightly taken aback by the London setting of the trailer. The camera work is a little frenetic so I didn't get a chance to recognise much beyond the obvious landmarks, but I imagined the earth of the Mass Effect universe to be a lot more "shiny". It looked far from futuristic, and while I understand that it's currently being bombed to shit by the reapers I had assumed that Westminster would look at least a little space age by the time we had Shepard galavanting around the galaxy in a shiny space rocket.Sounds like Fable 3.

If you look beyond westminster Chief, you can see that the rest of london has been heavily 'modernised'. Perhaps westminster has been kept the way it is because of its traditional and political significance?
Shame they've left the millenium wheel intact, perhaps they intend to go for a spin once they've conquered earth.

Get out of here, Stalker. But don’t ever think we’ll forget what you did for us.

So it looks like Clint Mansell is scoring ME3.Nothing against the guy,as he is very talented, but was there anything wrong with Jack Wall? His score was incredible. It rivaled Hans´s Zimmer work on MW2.nontheless,great catch.
But hey,I´m going to buy whatever equivalent of a colector edition they create on launch,so there´s nothing they can do that will change my ideas.

The score for ME2 was balls compared to ME1
