No, I was talking about the HitmanForum interview, it's very old. The one on the homepage.

I never knew about this one.

PS: Oh, it's the one where he talks about H5, I had only read the excerpts.

It's really that simple: rob your piggy bank, get the 40.000.000$ and hire a 30-strong developersgame-team for 2 or 3 years.

Spike's Video Game Awards, you mean? Is that show even legit and/or do industry people take that one serious?

According to Wikipedia:

"The program has encountered criticism for its selection of both nominees and winners by the gaming community. Bias for specific platforms and products has been claimed by critics. Additionally, winners are selected via online polling leading to critics calling the results merely a "popularity contest." Many consider the VGAs to be a gimmick awards show, whereas other awards given out by the G4 network, IGN, and other media outlets are considered to be more accurate."

How can it take so lang time to develop a game? Other companies are much faster than IOI. Well, they can at least be more open to the fanbase..

Always knew i didnt belong in this world. I wasnt

made for this. But Ill never forget - those who betrayed me, and

those who never failed my trust. Ill be carrying nothing from
Gontranno but this lesson: never trust anyone and rely on your

instincts. Forget the past. Ill never find peace here. So, Ill
seek justice for myself. Ill choose the truth I like.

I was thinking more like a mildly 2D game similar to early Metal Gear Solid. A hint of 1st person and social stealth, including talking with people... Some cause and effect, 'thinking' gameplay focus rather than direct violence focus... Knife kills and 1st person aiming down the sights would be available away from the public areas...

Hitman is almost shallow compared to what I really want from stealth/assassination game.

The Hitman 10th anniversary passed without a whif of news, plans of some sort of Hitman related IO-approved announcement. As Kanttori pointed out in the beginning of this topic, the time would have been ideal for IO/Square-Enix to launch news about Hitman 5 and to throw the Hitman fans a bone, plus to simultaneously commemorate the tenth anniversary of this niche franchise.

Alas, as expected, nothing of this happened.

So, ehm, Nick@IO, you do plan on eventually kickstarting IO's recently announced more pro-fan/general communication thingie, right?

IO's deafening silence and absurd degree of secrecy surrounding Hitman 5 is either very good or very bad, depending how you look at it. This game is either supposedly going to blow our minds or is being to a mere shell and shadow of its former glory. I dearly hope the former, although realistically, I fear it will be the latter.

Unfortunate, but my hatred for IOI somehow doesn't disappoint me anymore. I sincerely hope the company dies, they deserve nothing more than a cold, stinking decay after their unbelievable acts of faggotry. Promoting two piece of shit, should-be sideproject games instead of the only one which could have kept them alive is like ditching work and expecting your bills to pay themselves. Fucking idiots.

A huge +1, my thoughts exactly.

To be completely honest, I reserved a tiny bit of hope for the rest of the week also. It being the anniversary week and coincidentally 47th week of the 2010.... so there was a theoretical possibility of giving the long time fans -and all fans equally- a Thanksgiving present or just happy news for the weekend. So many things made sense to make an announcement this week / that day. I don't see what you guys stood for lose even if it would have been "no, we're not making any more Hitman games" or "it's coming out probably in 2-3 years time, here's a pre-alpha concept art" As Choronzon and others have pointed out in the past, it was childish and naive to expect anything from a company like IO. While I respect you Nick for writing on the forums, frankly you could be replaced with an automatic answering bot. Of course it's not up to you Nick to decide what to tell the dying community. I don't know what's going on at IO but it sure doesn't feel promising. As Choronzon wrote above it can be either very good or very bad. I'm too, fearing for the latter. This might be the GT5 for Hitman fans, if there's ever one coming. Not holding my breath.
