I find their reviews and Quick Look videos to be excellent. I can never get their bombcasts to work though, which annoys me because I find them to be really funny guys who obviously know their stuff.
Hmm, that's odd. Why can't you get it to work? What's the specific problem? I actually want to solve this for you because the Bombcast has become one of the staples of my existence. Wake up Wednesday morning, download, and enjoy. It's that good I listen to it twice before the next installment. Then again I do a lot of commuting, so I have the time to do that.
strife, that spoiler sounded awesome. Arg. Can't wait to get paid.

Just before you enter the interior of the undead church, (where the giant guy with huge shield and mace is) opposite the entrance is a long corridor leading into a forest, follow it and down two flights of stairs and you'll come to a blacksmith, not only can he upgrade your equipment he also sells the chard you need to upgrade it, I've already got my scimitar to +5 and my armour to +2 all around.
There's a black knight....remember the stairs that lead to the big building you go into which leads to the White mist and
Spoiler
the Taurus demon
? The ones where a flaming barrel gets pushed down? To the right before you go up there's some stairs leading down to a black knight with his back to you.
He's got good reach. Crappy ring though, increases defence when HP is low.
Edit: 3 thoughts
1)The big metal pig looked awesome but he was a bit too easy to exploit, even when I wasn't trying to
2) The game is harder, it's not just me being out if practice right?
3)Does intelligence increase the potency of Pyromancy? I think I've made a bad choice, unless there's quicker long distance fire spells later. The starting one is essentially the same as a firebomb

Darkness covers all I see and touch, No feeling of pain just sorrow. My hand loses grip of the sword I hold, And I turn to become a true shadow.
Man, I love how everything seems to get linked back. Like I found some open doorways in Firelink shrine that led to goodies; later on that's where a lift after hours of work takes you, so you can get back there without having to backtrack through the whole world (to talk to rescued NPC's and reinforce your Estus flask).
Faced the belltower gargoyles once, they're a bit too strong for me right now, gonna level up my axe a bit; I assume the blacksmith has infinite shards to sell?

Well a cheater I guess. Found I nice skanky way of beating the big guy in stone armour using what I think is a dragon tooth as a weapon? He drops a ring that gives +25 to equip burden. Took me half an hour and was easy as pie.
Guys something keeps happening, every so often I'll get the visual effect and sound of absorbing souls, but dont get any and haven't done anything to get it.
Not sure what it is. Miracle resonance?
Edit2: The red dragon, shoot it's tail....
Spoiler
it drops a sword that seems to have mad stats 200 damage off the bat compared tommy axes 91, need to upgrade strength to use it though. It looks like a one handed sword but the description says "The sword is imbued with a mystical power, to be released when held with both hands". Not sure what it means yet. Maybe does fire damage?
Edit3: can't kill the dragon. He keeps healing :/

where is this guy? I could really do with that ring.
Some tips on locations of some cool stuff:
Spoiler
Kill the games first merchant in the undead burg for a Uchigatana
In the Demon Ruins (after second bell ring), go right to the end and there is a huge boss, right at the end of his dominion is a corpse on a slab with a light weight but protective armour, you will dressed exactly like a wraith! Great for agile builds.
I'm not killing that merchant, he's my only arrow seller! Plus I have that Drake Sword....
In Undead Burg I should mention. I'm exploring and trying to kill all mini-bosses etc before fighting the gargoyles.
You know where the flaming barrel gets rolled down at you?
Spoiler
The room behind there us a locked door opened with the master key. He's all the way at the bottom and will OHK you if you aren't careful.
Doing a little bit of grinding to increase dexterity then I'll have another shot at the dragon. Have you killed it yet?
And grinding for some STR use this sword one handed
Edit: Thebswird is boss. Was hitting shielded knights for about 18 before (my fault for not getting new weapons really), now hitting them for 81. If you two hand it and press R2 it sounds out a beast of a blastwave in a straight line.
Those gargoyles are going down after I kill this dragon.

Apart from the dragon i've now killed all the Burg mini bosses. I just killed the Butterfly boss in the woods(?) can't remember what it's called. Is it possible to get the dragon into melee combat? My I get bored of sniping stuff from afar.
Being Human really helps munk (reverse hollow at bonfire), as then you can summon other players, up to 3 i think, and There are summon signs littering the mist gate before bosses.
Edit: There's no conceivable way to beat the Red Dragon, he just regens his HP too quickly. I thought you might be able to shoot him from where that black knight in the tower was but no dice :/
I can only think you might be able to do it at a much higher level with bows and arrows. Tried being a gypsy and meleeing him but that went badly too. Hrmmph
Edit2: Saw my first crystal lizard today. Tried shooting it then it disappeared
Edit3: looks like they respawn until you kill them. Ran at it and stabbed it up. Good times.
Killed the Gargoyles with two NPC summons, they went down like bitches.
Went to the Gardens, came across a giant knight who cast a spell stopping me from rolling, got raped, not sure what to do there.
Came across the
Spoiler
Hydra!
, it looks awesome! Managed to
Spoiler
cut one of it's heads off, it doesn't seem too hard as long as you get close to it
Went exploring and think I've found the way to the next bell, under the Undead burg. Yay.
Has anyone come across someone selling Pyromancy spells? Getting bored of Fireball

Big beat. I expect constant updates of your exploits and thoughts please. I love this game and having more people to share with is awesome. Guz needs to post more.
In fact, Guz, what weapons, armour and magic are you using at the moment?

The knights spell is AoE based, so get away from him and it has no effect, also it is timed, so it lasts about a minute and runs out, once you see him casting it, back off for a minute then resume fighting.
Yeh, get close the the hydra and it will roar, that means it is about to plunge all the heads at you, back off, once the heads hit the sand, move in and hack up a head, repeat repeat etc.
Yes! In the Bottom of the Blighttown (Below the depths), just before the boss room/cave with the guys chucking rocks on a small island opposite that is a pyromancer woman. Also a Pyromancer is in the bottom in the depths, trapped inside a barrel, just past the room with the butchers in it. Back at firelink shrine he will give you a spell and will sell spells, he can also Upgrade your pyromancer skill (works just like upgrading a weapon, apart from all you need is souls, my fire hand is like +3 now.
I'm not going to get a lightning or flame based weapon because it removes all stat scaling (stat damage bonus) and rubbing my sword with resin works fine anyway.
Elite Knight Helm +2 ( I dont like the gold hemmed hood even though it's statistically superior)
Gold-Hemmed Black Cloak (amazing armour set, light + massive defence, but can't be upgraded. 44 Phys Def and only weighs 3.5!)
Wanderer Manchette +2 (gloves)
Gold Hemmed Black Skirt (pretty gay, makes my pc bare foot, but 36 phys def weighing 3.0...)
Ring of Steel Protection (Bonus vs. Physical Attacks)
Havels Ring (Boost Equip Max, allows me to still have best agility whilst holding heavy(ish) stuff (Shield and Helm)
Spoiler
In the sewer area of the depths is a corpse with a ring called ring of the evil eye, it restores HP every time a enemy is defeated, super useful
My Stats
SL: 36
Vit 12
Attune 12
End 23
Str 15
Dex 23
Res 15
Int 11
Faith 8
My Estus flask is only +1 has anyone found any more fire keeper souls?
I'm at a boss in Sen's Fortress, the place is fucking full of traps but also full of some great treasure (rings), It opens up once both bells have been rung. I've completely completed Dark Root, I'm staying away from Londo Ruins cuz of the ghosts, so for now it's Sen's.
Edit: Trying to think of general tips for grizz, but I think just reviewing the thread so far will suffice.
When rolling/dodging, dont do it as the enemy draws back their weapon (esp bosses) do as the attack comes for you.
When Encountering a new enemy, before engaging, just coax them into attacking for a little bit, so you can learn their moveset and defeat them more efficiently.
being in human form allows you to summon others to help you out, which is super helpful, use humanity to reverse hollow at a bonfire.
Coax hard enemies out one by one, it saves you from having to take on loads at once.
If something kills you super quick, or you do hardly any damage to it, you don't have to go this way, think about a tactical retreat.
Death is normal.
Read peoples messages, people in this game tend to help instead of aggro, they will save your life multiple times, and tell you of treasures
I almost beat the hydra this afternoon, silly mistake cost me my life. Will beat it's ass tonight or tomorrow.
Where did you find that Gold hemmed armour?
Thanks for the Pryomancer tips, the Depths were my next location after beating the Hydra (though may clear the gardens out first).
Oh I meant to ask as well, have you found the way back to the Asylum? I found the path late last night.
Edit: Also can't decide the weapon I want. If I understand the stats etc for the Drake sword it doesn't level with your stats so I'll need something new soon :/
Found the fluted armour yet?
