I suggest Paris Hilton voicing 47, Chris Brown the soundtrack. Some of you wouldn't even notice the difference. Clowns. I am out of this forum.

Sorry to see you leave.

Probably not the best of threads to get into this but I can actually see where he was goin' with that, but definitely not all the way in thinking they'd just re-sking batman. But the first thing I thought about when I saw 47 going in and taking down all the guards in diana's house in the trailer with unarmed martial arts perfection was Batman AA. The instict mode sounds similar too, but it's kind of a vague power/ability/game mechanic so meh.

Have to agree with you there...

That seems unlikely as:

1. Does not have a cape to glide with
2. No information on 47 having acrobatic fighitng techniques
3. Hitman games have always had multiple locales, Arkham Asylumn had one
4. The HUD interface in the trailer was significantly differently to that in Arkham Asylumn
5. Hitman: Absolution has made a point of extensive use of shooting, Batman just punches people
6. Arkham Asylumn was heavily marketed on the colourful characters in it, Absolution only has two recognizable characters to date: 47 and Diana

This is why statements like this are likely to be disregarded.

My condolences for your Aspergers. I was actually referring to the cover movement in the demo. Exactly like Batman. You're obviously too ignorant to pick up on that.

It is really sad to hear that Kyd won't be working on the game, but how can anyone honestly believe that he is the ONLY person in the world who could do the game justice. I really don't think we have anything to worry about, the game will deliver.

He's just plugged in, like David, in the Hitman universe. He knows exactly what to play and how to play it, from setting the tone in the Main Title and the missions.

Here's a great one back when I played C47 back in 2000:

When playing the Hong Kong missions for the first time, 2 things allowed IO to pull off the retro feel I later learned they were aiming for.

David Bateson's old detective style Joe Friday narration before the first mission (the voice was just perfect) right away you felt like you were in an era at least 10 years prior.

and Kyd's masterful decades old application of a theme. Shave off another 5-10 years to retro feel.

I remember making a post on here years ago posing an open question in a thread to Kyd, on how he came up with that, it was THAT good imo.

So, playing these missions, I felt like I was in the 1980's (I'm an 80's kid myself), so when I found out that's what IO was striving for in the Chinese missions, I was like, "they absolutely nailed it with those two hires."

And keep in mind, back in 2000 this game was pretty revolutionary.. wasn't like anything I ever played before I can recall. The closest was maybe Mission Impossible on the N64 as far as real 3rd person strategic play goes.

If I was in Copenhagen, I'd beg IO to get David and Jesper involved. Even if it messed things up and put the game on delay at a later point next year.
They're essential to these games coming off world class AND HITMAN STEPPING OUT OF THE CROWD OF GAMES WITH ITS OWN IDENTITY..... imo of course,

I mean I've only been playing since the series' inception, and IO's branding and remarkable touch on an Intellectual Property got some kid off the street to pick up the game not knowing anything about it (the perfect dummy consumer to test sales theory on), so what do I know? :D

I don't doubt Absolution will do well, Hitman has enough good rep when you combine the good in past games to sell... but sales go through the roof with Bateson and Kyd on and not drifting too far away from previous gameplay mechanics. The issue was primarily with A.I. there and that's been corrected (just don't forget to treat all npcs the same when it comes to law enforcement and civilians with guns IO) all these latest additions so today's tween can play and possibly forcing them on experienced gamers, is the only other thing that could hinder $$$ some.

Exactly like Batman - because only Batman has ever had the innovation to use cover to avoid being seen. I guess I just imagined it in GTA, every single Splinter Cell game, the Metal Gear series, every other game that's ever had a stealth section and the numerous examples in movies and real life. That's before you consider that nowdays your shooter games are considered archaic if you don't include some option to take cover (even if there is no stealth at all).

Also, you may actually want to look up information on disorders before attempting to diagnose people with with it rather than pick a random disorder out of a list. Or even better, you might want to read the post you thought you were making a witty comeback against.

Don't get all persnickerty just because I'm right. I hope you're getting adequate treatment for your disorder.

PS : I went back and read your original post but I couldn't spot a valid point in there amongst your misguided bullshit. Once again, my condolences.

PPS: I simply have to know. Why do you think I randomly picked a disorder from a list or do you just consider yourself so smart and superior to everyone else that you simply assume that no one surfing an Internet forum could possibly have experience with various mental disorders let alone the one you clearly display traits of. I wouldn't be surprised if you've already been diagnosed and your just being defensive about it.

Of course, it's easy when no treatment is required.

Your lack of comprehension is not my concern.

Because I don't display any traits indicating Aspergers but it is the standard lazy diagnosis for people who have "experience" but don't display the reading capacity to research. Particularly since your data is exceptionally limited by not being able to observe my mannerisms or expressions. My communication skills are certified as excellent by a career in white collar where as yours are somewhat limited.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder would be have been a much better diagnosis but again, not enough information to make a diagnosis. Schizophrenia is always a good lazy diagnosis too, but I suspect that you don't understand what it is rather than spot why I'm excluded from it (otherwise you wouldn't go with Aspergers).

Thank you for your concerns about my mental health - but I'm afraid I have to disappoint you that I've been "certified sane" by at least two professional psychologists and autism disorders spectrum free by an ex-girlfriend who manages and teaches aspie kids on a daily basis.

Do you have anything constructive to add to the thread or should I take your failed attempt to discredit me as your concession of defeat?

Wow. All hail lord Megatron! My field really isn't NPD so I'll take your word for it. Your communication skills are far from excellent. You wouldn't last a day working for me in my office with your rude manner and bloated ego. I find it hard to believe you even have a job let alone that you've been 'certified sane' by any licenced professional. If you had you wouldn't be so upset and defensive. Also, your 'expert girlfriend' might have told you that AS is very different with kids than adults. Perhaps my 'failing' is in assuming you're an adult?

I don't see how anyone could confirm that till closer to release. We'd all love to know though I do agree. I'm thinking you'd need something top of the line judging by the graphics. I'm thinking the cheapest bet for this one would be the console version but then again, I have a bad feeling the console version won't be anywhere near as nice as the PC version. Its a vicious cycle.

I havent heard the voice of Bateson's replacement, so whats the sense of signing a petition. Bateson could be asking for too much money this time around and I would much rather have those funds applied to a better game than a voice box that has nothing to do with game play

I don't think you need to hear the voice to know that the same character with a different voice is a bad thing. whether its a video game a movie, even a different singer in a band, a change in in the way the person sounds is never a good thing.

I hate this ignorant decision by IO. Either they're complete liars, saying that they care about the fans, or they're half-witted. Eitherway, the company has been bastardized ever since 2004. That's why I always liked Hitman: Contracts the most.
