With Absolution adding new features, I hope they improve hiding bodies. For example, maybe 47 should be able to tie balloons on bodies so that they float away. Then you don't have to worry about them, I dunno lol.

Feel free to share ideas of different ways we could hide bodies.

So... 47 is supposed to have an infinite supply of balloons, that he will then have to fill, tie to the body and let it float away? What if youare inside? The body will just float on the roof. DO YOU HAVE any idea how many balloons you need to make them lift a body???!!!??!?!

Ok, but now I'm going to be a bit more serious. What if you could place the bodies in a sleeping position on beds? Sitting position on chairs? As long as the body still has his limbs on and isn't bleeding/doesn't have bullet holes, the other NPC's could just think he's sleeping.

When you kill for money, there are no rules.

The Small fixes thread. IOI employees and Hitman developers, please take a look at the thread. At the moment there are about 80 small or smallish things that the fans would like to see improved. Many would improve gameplay and shouldn't be too difficult to fix before Absolution is released.

I think I know where this is going... :)

Hiding bodies in Blood Money was easy enough. There's always that conveniently placed huge box in every room that no one bothers to check, even if there's blood trails leading to it.

Perhaps 47 could use some magic dust to make bodies dissapear?

But seriously...

While BM introduced this whole 'let's hide the bodies' concept, there's far more work to be done. In terms of a stealthy approach to this issue 47 could hide bodies in shadows or dark places. Another good idea would be setting bodies up on beds or chairs and disguise them so that it looks like the dead/knocked out NPCs are sleeping/napping, but it wouldn't work if you killed them via Silverballers to the head.
Hiding bodies in wardrobes/cupboards would be a good also. Let's see some greater environmental interaction when it comes to hiding bodies in the game, I'm tired of always putting the body in a box or huge (always empty) freezer.

lol, on a more serious note...

Hiding bodies in shadows sound like a good idea, but in real life this would not work so well all the time. I like the idea of stuffing them in closets or cabinets though, as long as it isn't a giant obvious box.

The giant obvious boxes just make the player feel silly, the boxes/freezers are there specifically for you to put a body in them - very unrealistic.

I wonder where did you get the idea of making them look like they're asleep...
Hiding bodies in wardrobes would be great. It's possible in the upcoming Death to Spies 3, which is basically Hitman 2 in Cold War with some improvements, more espionage than assassinations and drivable cars. Should be the best alternative to Hitman Absolution if you don't like it.

Tell me about it. I can understand if there's a freezer in the kitchen. That makes sense. But why is there a huge empty box in the white house right on the room where I fiber wire the vice president? That doesn't make any sense.

Another cool way to hide bodies: put them in a coffin! At least if you are on a graveyard where it's natural there are coffins...

I was writing my longer post while you were writng your shorter post at the same time. I wonder if guards will be really tricked by another guard 'sleeping' in a chair for 'ever'. This is when the AI comes in...47 hides behind the body, makes heavy breathing/sleeping noises, moves the body slightly so it seems alive (all this in the shadows, of course). The other guard will have no choice but to beleive that the guard on the chair is asleep. But this won't work well if 47 has taken the dead/unconcious guard's clothes and is pretending that the guard is sleeping almost naked in a chair on duty. B)

Sorry about being a bit paranoid... That's a part of my personality I can't get rid of.

But 47 snoozing behind a dead body while moving the body slightly? Funniest idea in a while, but seriously, who's going to do that every time the guard you are fooling patrols the area? No one.
Yet another way of hiding a body: Put it under a carpet. No one will ever find out... :D

Very intresting ideas. The coffin idea, the "looks like sleeping" works well together. Maybe Absolution could use a function that is introduced to the player, a function were you can kill people and leave them in a position were no one takes notice. I played Hidden And Dangerous 2 yesterday and one of the nazi guards was sitting on a rock watching the lake while other guards was patrolling behind him, it was a setup obviously for you to shoot him and to see how nobody reacts. This could be a function in Absolution were you can pick up bodies and leave them at certain places, chairs, benches, coffins and they won't take notice. But you have to kill them or make them unconcious without making marks. It's a good suggestion.

How about putting the body in a cabinet just like in MGS2?

Now for the ultimate way of hiding bodies: Put them behind the wheel of a car and put their leg on the gas pedal. Then they'll drive themselves to a nearby ocean or lake. That would count as an accident, too. Unless there are bullet holes on the body. When they are in the bottom of a lake, no one will find them. And when the body is found, it's a rotten corpse already.

The balloon concept...is already done in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.

Yes, floating balloons..I know.
lol.

I would haved find it simpler if you can simply lock a door and put the body in there and no one being able to open it of course. Hiding them in closets was done in MGS aslo and in plenty of games.

I would guess of a hitman, well I wouldnt know, to capture a target and then kill them when theres a large plastic bag around so that blood dont drip! lol
I wouldnt know, being able to carry them and drag them to a location works better than grabbing them by the hand or foot, because thats a little strange.

That would be awesome. But I don't know if they a hiring anyone for the job of "dude creating some good ideas and hanging around the developers"... Wait, is that Tore's job? If it is, it's a damn cool job to have.

Maybe you are a real serial killer and knows what youre talking about B).
I think IO have meetings were they gather ideas from eachother. But sometimes it could be wisely for a company to hire someone or some people to focus on the ideas.

Shhhhh.... Quiet, or my cover will be blown. Besides, serial killers aren't that smart, they're insane and have disgusting obessions. I'm more of a contract killer in the way I think.;)

Easiest job in the world. You just lie down on the couch all day long and think of killing people... A couple times a day you present the ideas to the other employees and go back slee... thinking on the couch. No matter how low the pay would be, it wouldn't be a stressing job.
But seriously, IO doesn't need to hire anyone to think, they already think themselves AND they check the forums for ideas which have countless times been implemented in the next game. That's one of the best things about IO.

Yeah, they really included that "instinct" mode we so eagerly discussed having in the next game B). It's a joke, just a joke :P .

I already have the game so to speak.

I dont think theres anything wrong with hiding them in a corner or shadow. Putting somewhere discreet is pretty much the main game there. A large trash bin would work, but its the same as the dumpster. Maybe a large box? lol idk.

I like the idea of putting a dead body in plain sight, where someone could be sleeping or otherwise unconscious without raising suspicion. It would also encourage you to kill people in ways that don't leave marks, holes or cuts, get you thinking a bit more when experimenting with the mission. They could give you different opportunities to get away with the main assassination which might not be so clear to start with.

I think they'd have to be careful with the number of people you could leave around the level in these situations, unless they were all separate and made sense. Like in a hotel, if you put everyone in their room asleep, that is fine. But if you go to a park, and there are 20 people all lined up asleep on the benches etc, it would look weird, so they'd have to factor that in with the rest of the AI.
