Hitman_47x doesn't deserve a thumbs down for providing correct info. That is exactly where that info should be, and alrerady has been, discussed, and beaten into the ground for that matter. +1 from me
Thank you, Habit.

People are probably giving me bad rep because I support, Bateson. It's their way of attacking me.

Members that constantly minus reputation for no reason, a.k.a "reputation trolling" can receive a warning.
What about people who constantly upvote for no reasons?

Who knows why they're doing it - pretty ridiculous and inappropriate behavior on the part of whoever thumped you guys down, imo. I'll prob get it too by the same people now for saying so. I don't think it's about supporting Bateson, though; there's a lot of support for Bateson on this forum. Sometimes I think it's davidbatesonforum.com
It's just children acting like children, and not liking that people correct them. Personally I didn't even disagree with points being made, it's just not the place to make them. I don't want to read the same thread comments on multiple topics, it's pointless. That's why there are rules for the thread.

Upvoting hasn't shown itself as a problem. Downvoting of posts for no reason has in this instance and in a number of others, tended to derail threads with people quite frankly getting pissed off that someone downvoted them for sharing a link. There have been members intentionally downvoting many posts primarily just to "reputation troll" and lower another person's reputation score for no real reason. It's these things that often derail a thread when people start talking and complaining about it.What about people who constantly upvote for no reasons?

Its funny, playing Deux Ex recently, recognizing the astonishing Hitman similarities, then reading on the cartrige, Square Enix & Eidos. I hope the new Hitman does turn out to be like Deus Ex, but with out the clunky combat and unsatisfying gunfights, which I am only going to encounter after finishing the game on purist, silently assassin...

"Astonishing" similarities?Maybe it has that "Deus Ex" type of open world, and it will work pretty fine if it was done to Hitman.

I wouldn't want a game "like" DX. I'd want a game "like" Hitman, not some clone of another studio's IP. Also, just because SE and Eidos are the publishers of DX and the Hitman series it does not mean Absolution may/will be similar to their other published titles. There's a pretty significant difference between those who make the game and those who publish it.

The astonishing similarities between DX and the past four hitman games, not absolution, Dragging bodies, dumbed down gunfights, encouraging stealth etc..."Astonishing" similarities?

Lets put it machematically, if 1+1=2 and 4-2=2, then 1+1=4-2.
If DX if similar to the hitman franchise, and if Absolution is similar to DX, then Absolution is also similar to the Hitman franchise, which is a good thing.

So those three things make it such an "astonishing" Hitman-look-a-like? There's more to Hitman than that, primarily the critical elements of performing contract hits/assassinations and the disguise ability. DX is in a different category to the Hitman games when it comes to gameplay, story and setting. Both games have stealth in them, but so does Splinter Cell, Thief, Assassin's Creed...and no one's really claiming these games are so much like Hitman. The astonishing similarities between DX and the past four hitman games, not absolution, Dragging bodies, dumbed down gunfights, encouraging stealth etc...
That's just made me more confused.Lets put it machematically, if 1+1=2 and 4-2=2, then 1+1=4-2.
The whole point is: Hitman is not so "astonishingly" similar to DX.If DX if similar to the hitman franchise, and if Absolution is similar to DX, then Absolution is also similar to the Hitman franchise, which is a good thing.
If what you say above is really the case and there's such a strong link between these two different games, then if you're playing C47, SA, Contracts or BM you should be thinking how "amazingly" similar all these games are to DX. Personally I would never say to myself "This is so much like Deus Ex" while playing C47.
