My only question is... when do we gonna get this thread updated?..


Now that they are releasing regular updates/code drops I doubt Nick will update this.

Nick@IO probably will not answer this anymore, but it's worth the shot...

Is it true that Absolution's Instinct mechanic began life as a developer tool to determine pathfinding after the AI became so insanely complex they could no longer playtest it properly?

Will we have a safeplace/hideout in which we can survey our glorious arsenal of multi-caliber destruction? A place where we can whisper affection and caress our collections of sweet sweet guns without anybody looking at us like we're "weird"?

I don´t understand why nick do not answer any more. I hope the video which will come on Friday will show more about how the game will work.

The she must be special Trailer shows that Io overworked the Melee moves they have more fluid. I hope the game will give us the feeling of that we hope for.
I looked the Interviews at the moment a lot of times and i think they do good things

i believe the truth in that is due to the way we can toggle debug graphics overlay to visualize npc paths with splines through the world in the editor. taking it from there to something that can be highlighted and used for gameplay is a small step.

has it confirmed if weather of not we will be able to run and gun?because seeing both the gameplays already it seems that whenever he pulls out a weapon,there seems to be no crosshair to it,only when you enter focus mode where u hold LT(in most games) to shoot.I want to run and gun not walk and gun

Generally speaking, it's best to start releasing information - even concepts - when things are beginning to get locked down so as to avoid confusion and disappointment. And, and this is my view, when you have the time to back it up with interesting information. Putting out teasers and weird Flash sites with countdowns leading to nowhere is just annoying. So what if I get a piece of art if I have to wait 8 months for more information? I'm gone by then.

It's not JUST about marketing, it's also about managing people's expectations and making sure that everyone understands what they will get. The moment a developer releases information, even if it's only a "we're working on it" statement, about a game in progress the media is all over it, expecting interviews, information, etc. If they don't get it, they get pissy. As does the community quite often.

A month from now, this quote will be 3 years old. That's right, 3 years. Can we get a release date already? Or a date for a release date?

No but in developing the final ARG leading to the release date. That's probably why you no longer see Nick. Need isolation and concentration.

That was a flaccid remark. ;)

My point was, this 3 year old post is blatantly false since it's been over a year since they began releasing teasers, concepts, and more recently videos. According to Nick, we all should have left this game and moved on by now.

Thanks for the link, but I prefer to get my information, be it true or false, right here.
