In the Danish magazine Euroman from August, Jens Peter Kurup, the lead animator from IO says:

"Agent 47 will be fighting a giant figure in a 'boss fight', and it is a direct reference to the movie 'Game of Death'(1978), where Bruce Lee filmed a scene with him figting against the big basketball player Kareem Abdul-Jabbar"

Maybe a new Absolution direction with several 'boss-fights', or maybe the final boss?

But yes, seems a bit odd in the Hitman franchise.

very odd.. having boss fights up right in a stealth game is beyond belief. Neither it fits the title named "Absolution"

I'm skeptical too. But maybe the term 'boss-fight' is just a reference to a random target. Let's hope so. Maybe it's just like Lee Hong's bodyguard Zun.

HItman's had movie inspired boss fights since Codename. Not bothered unless they make it something utterly ridiculous.

Sorry. I know what you mean. I feel the same way about spoilers with this game, but I didn't find this very spoilerish. Every Hitman game has a boss.

You are right. But the question is if they have several boss fights in the game. That would be a huge difference to the series.

Maybe not Mark III. But I see an excellent opportunity to end the plot hole with Mystery Man from Hitman 2 (the only living bad guy knowing about 47). Then IO could end the temporary plot hole and move forward with the story.

You are right. But the question is if they have several boss fights in the game. That would be a huge difference to the series.

The first game had three, and that's if you're not considering each individual encounter with the ten 48s a boss battle each. I don't think it's changing much.

Sounds like a fist fight. If it was just a gunfight, the boss's size wouldn't even matter. This sounds pretty dumb.

It does sound dumb. Maybe 47 will use the new combat moves like in the Absolution trailer... that would be sad.

Why would it be a gun fight?! They are referring to Bruce Lee! What is the point of making the opponent physically threatening if you can just shoot him? If I see a giant in a game, I want to beat him up. So I think it will be one of those quicktime event hand-to-hand fights, otherwise it will be like Tekken, and I don't want that.
