Wow, now even the "broad, casual and mainstream" audience members are pointing out the apparent similarities to Batman: Arkham Asylum and Splinter Cell: Conviction.

I just watched it and i love it. I'm a hardcore Hitman fan, and i thought it was rather weird to see him looking through walls and such, but it honestly didn't bother me as much as i thought it would. I probably won't use the Instinct mode that much, so hardcore mode all the way for me. People were complaining about the cover system and how he was able to climb now and how that was stupid. Nonsense...it makes sense and its awesome. If you were a real assassin and you were in a situation like this, for sure you'd hide behind cover too if nessecary. I find it a great addition to the game.

So think this game without the Instinct mode and in hardcore mode, seems to be awesome if you ask me!

If IOI wants portion of critic then it will get it.
I just want to say one thing. Such movement of Hitman not for the gamepads where the left stick has 360 degree. Now probably begins a brawl....

That's... Not what I was hoping and expecting to see. The level looked really linear, the minimap was useless and the cinematic stuff just wasn't working.Sound effect when the lights went on? That's just cheap. Even the stealth sections somehow seemed like they were from a more action oriented game.

At least the dialogue was good.

I won't be using Instinct and I won't go running and gunning like the gameplay showed but it looks alright. I was hoping they would listen to the fans a bit more and get somebody who sounds a little bit like Bateson but I guess I was wrong. All in all it looks OK.

The developers DID confirm you can finish this particular mission in different ways, right? So i don't nessecarily have to kill those cops, use that switch, and go that chopper route, right?

I enjoyed that a lot. I didn't really imagine this level as taking place on the same 'plane' (so to speak) as the cops, 47's just weaving through them as they patrol. I figured he'd be doing more crazy stuff like scaling walls and climbing over them on pipes, Sam Fisher style. That's fine, though... I'm glad he's more agile in this game but he isn't supposed to be Batman!

The level had a good mix of action and stealth, using both straight up sneaking and the unique "social stealth" that Hitman is known for with the disguises. I definitely felt like the action was tasteful in this playthrough, the chopper part wasn't nearly as gratuitous or silly as I envisioned it to be when i saw the screenshots. I like how they give 47 multiple chances to surrender and repeatedly say that they are going to open fire before actually doing it.

Noticed only a couple of small things that irritated me... After 47 beats up the first cop in the cannabis "factory", the second one just stands there and waits to get his ass pounded too. I'm sure small things like that will be fixed in the main game but it was just a bit weird to see. Anyway, the game looks very promising and i'm definitely convinced that they're doing the right thing for the series with the changes they're making. Looking forward to seeing these new features implimented in a more traditional style Hitman level, where 47 is incognito and there's a target or two to take out!

Yes, I believe such a thing was confirmed by IO. Although I don't have a link ready for that.

It could have been a tutorial? I remember a lot of missions in the others were your forced into a somewhat linear experience (Death of a Showman, Hunter and Hunted). Maybe the Purist mode they announced will have a more classic experience.

This looks like it's going to play exactly like Deus Ex: HR, only the stealth doesn't look to be retardedly easy.

Even then I see a problem. If they wanted to make the game more accessible like they've said, they'd make a tutorial that actually teaches you to play the game. That is where Blood Money failed: Linear tutorial in a sandbox game is not helpful.

Oh my god this game is comparable to other games. It has people and guns, how could they?

That footage was great, i don't even care about the helicopter part because the dialogue, and voice acting ws great. The hole story with that one cop running through the level was awesome.
