Doesn't look like your typical rumor. T2 must be covering this up for some reason.

Well some things you find "silly" I find logical. The thread doesn't say what games I have played but my top 10. sorry for liking a game series, with a  game that hasn't been released yet. And yes it does deserves to be there just because I bought it. I know it will be far better than HM Absolution and maybe better than HM6 (Probably not, but again it might)

There was a thread on /v/ this morning with a guy who gave away a shitload of information, supposedly some R* employee. I know forchon isn't the most reliable source, but there have been threads like this on /v/ before about IV and predicting the V trailer as well and some were proven to be legit. As well as the fact that I collected and edited all the info into a 5 page word file, posted it on GTAforums and my post was deleted in less than 5 minutes. It's pretty amazing, considering you could literally post child porn on those forums and nobody would give a fuck.
If anyone's interested i'll post it, but it's really a lot of details. No story spoilers though.

I saw that thread. It seemed pretty believable, concerning the main character's background and connections.

Sounds nice, though I wouldn't mind a more arcade-like GTA for a change. 48+ hour searches sounds like a pain in the ass.

It's different from the video that Frantz posted. It's lenghty as fuck, even though I cut out repetition. Here goes:

GTAV is going to be released in October if Max Payne doesn't meet expected sales. If it does exceed the expectations, then it will be delayed for a release in May '13. Even with that, North wants to skip the October slot anyway for more with the game. This is going to be the last major GTA release for quite some time, even longer than the gap between IV and V. Why? Agent, and another thing...

The man speaking in the first trailer is the protagonist. He is the one seen wearing a suit, leading the robbery and driving the blue and black cars.

This is set in Southern California. San Fierro and Las Venturas are not included. Rockstar's versions of San Diego and the Mexican Border towns are, however, included.
Money is much more important to the game, not just storyline-wise. Reflecting the current economic situation, North hopes to show how one can go from a comfortable living environment to a homeless one with a couple deals gone wrong and a risk that wasn't taken.

Unlike Niko Bellic, the protagonist is not a loner. He has more connections than Niko did when he first arrived, since the protagonist is a local. He lived in Los Santos back in the late 80s and then moved to Liberty in '92. The reason why he returned? I guess it was the weather...

He also has a family.
Just like with every other major GTA, there will be a PC release a couple months after. I can't say anything more about this because I'm not involved in this area.
Tommy Vercetti is not in GTAV and won't ever be included in another GTA. Unless North decide one day to somehow get Ray Liotta back, which isn't likely. Yes, the voice is from the protagonist. CJ is not in the game. Young Maylay (who voiced Carl) is however doing some work for which will be included in GTAV. Grove St is not in the game. There is a few references to old Los Santos which you might notice, but North decided not to include the actual street itself. Doesn't mean they didn't include what's happened to it 20 years on.
You can go to a car shop in the game where you can customize your vehicles.
You can tie people up and put them in the trunk of your car. There is a fire extinguisher and a can of spray paint you can use as well.
There are politically involved characters. The UL Paper does make a return. The tone of the game is dynamic, since your situation can change from shit to decadence in a week.

Weapons are customizable, a first for the games. If you notice in the first trailer, the masked men wielding the assault rifles have silencers equipped.
There is a much wider variety of weapons, reflecting the larger size of the games map.
There is no co-op.

Of course the traffic of Los Santos will be terrible! Things like this is what makes LA what it is. Different times will have different traffic density. No traffic laws will be included in a GTA as long we are in charge. Fines, however? A possibility in the future, not in GTAV though.
The hand to hand is vastly improved. The animations are freakishly real since they've melded Euphoria with the scripted animation set. It puts games like Fight Night to shame.
Multiplayer is going to fully realized this time. You liked Cops & Robbers? So did we. It's became our favorite mode once again, with some new options for it. Here's one: You can now play as a cop in normal free mode, catching and killing naughty fellow players. The player count has doubled from GTAIV due to the larger size of the game world (Multiplayer). Ranking still revolves around money, but it won't take as long as before. Why? Robberies, banks, territories, etc. No money will carry over from single player however.

EFLC is something we are very proud of. However, we are not going to something like that again for GTAV. It will still be quality and worth the money in my opinion, but not as big as those two. Look to Undead Nightmare for pointers. A huge gameplay and atmosphere change, with fewer missions and a smaller cost than TLAD & TBOGT. Minus the undead, of course.

The soundtrack will be unique to the game, just like every other GTA. Custom music won't be available for consoles this time again.
The driving is less threatening the first time you play unlike GTAIV, because the protagonist is already a local. But the handling itself has had much refinement. It is heavier and feels more dangerous when at higher speed. So I wouldn't say it's retard friendly at all.

Drug dealing plays a rather large role in this game compared to previous major titles. The Mexican border towns play a pivotal role in the drugs area.
The internet has returned and will continue to unless North decides to go back in the dark days before the internet. Who remembers those days? I sure can't.
There is body building. Eating isn't necessary like it was in GTASA, but it can affect the way your body is. There is a lot more clothing options available.

There are a lot of interiors in the game. Mainly because there a lot of properties that can be bought. There is also a shopping mall and a casino or two.
You get special rewards from certain hunting activities and shooting ranges, but nothing on the scale of RDR.
Look to Max Payne 3 for pointers on gore, then take away the flair of that game and take into the consideration of shocking edge of a GTA. That's the sort of damage you are going to see in GTAV. The protagonist will slightly reel back after getting shot repeatedly at low health. It looks cool if you're trying to do a "final stand" Tony Montana style.

There are horse in GTAV. They won't be as maneuverable as they were in Red Dead Redemption, but you can instead, say... fire rockets from horseback...
You will see more random events, including fellow citizens performing crimes such as being involved in high speed chases and store robberies. Beyond that though I don't think there is any large scale rampages that you will see.

Decisions are very prevalent in GTAV. It just goes well with the kind of game GTA is. A game where you choose how you want to play. The decisions of you handle your money will affect the storyline, which is something that is impressing everyone at Rockstar.

Do i still get a cousin who calls me up about Bowling and Beeg American Titties?
Haha, no unfortunately. There is bowling and titties in the game, though.

Are there multiple characters in this like in gta4 the complete edition?
I presume you mean selectable protagonists? No.

Are the controls going to be stiff as fuck like in IV or actually good?
The controls have been improved from GTAIV, of course. I hope this time you will be more impressed.

Is the size limit of the 360 version holding back the size/scope of the game for all platforms? It did for GTA4, right?
No, and it never has. However, the install will be mandatory this time for Xbox players. Why? Most Xbox users now own 360's with a HDD since the time when GTAIV came out.

From what you know that the general public doesn't, what are you, personally, most excited about in GTA V?
A nice question, mate. Well... I am in still in awe seeing the difference from GTAIV and GTAV, both in visuals and scope. It really is deserving of the "V", showing how much of a leap it's made. So I suppose the scope of the game is what I'm sure players will be excited by, since I am myself. Of course, the story is quite bold. With money having much more of a role both in-game and in the storyline. That should be exciting, too.

What features and innovations from other Rockstar games are being carried over to GTAV?
I like the fluid cuts between gamelay and cutscenes shown from MP3 and I thought it would be cool to have in GTAV. And obviously there was a lot of cool stuff in LA Noire and RDR that could be brought over.
We are always evolving. Each new game that gets released feeds into the next, no matter how different they are. With Max Payne 3, there will be many advancements that have been made in that which will be included in GTAV, but the no loading screens one is just not possible for a game as huge as V.

It's taking place in San Andreas again right?
They'll include big foot or at least a nod to the big foot easter egg hunters?

Bigfoot is in the countryside in GTAV. It was put in before we even put in the Vinewood sign.

Will there still be comedic talk show radio stations, as well as falsified ads to break up radio play?
Ha, of course! Unless Lazlow commits suicide, there will always be comedic radio.

Do I have the option to rob a random pedestrians without killing them? Do I have more options when it comes to robbing stores?
You can take their money by pistol whipping them, sort of like an execution kill but it just knocks them out. Stores are more interactive and can be vandalized to an extent.

What percentage of the cities buildings would you say have interiors?
I'm not sure, but I think it's over half since most of the country towns can be entered entirely ala Red Dead Redemption.

In the trailer there was a dog. Do we get to have pets?
The protagonist's family has a pet dog. That's it.

Are you guys using the L.A. Noire facial recognition?
No.

Do any characters from GTA4 return? Is it set in the same continuity as GTA4?
Yes and yes.

Do enemies react like they do in Red Dead Redemption when shot?
The Euphoria engine has been vastly improved since the GTAIV/Red Dead Redemption era of RAGE, our game engine.

Do you if there will be any post-game content? Because of my issues with GTA 4 was how there really wasn't anything much to do after you completed the story...
Yes there will be.

Will I be able to be gay? I love being gay.
The protagonist is married to a woman. You can't have sex with her because she won't be available in-game for the majority of the storyline. You can cheat on her, through online dating or hookers.

Are there more destructible environments?
Yes, but not on a large scale. Fire is much more dynamic, causing properties to be heavily damaged however.

Are the safehouses going to be like they were in Ballad Of Gay Tony were there isn't loading to get into them and you can seemlessly leave you safehouse to the street (like there was in normal GTA4)
Of course.

Will we have a smartphone this time around? Will there be apps for it?
Will doing activities with friends return?

Yes for all three queries. One of the cool things is that you can play videogames on the phone in-game.

Will "stealth" missions from SA return?
Silent kills can be performed. Because of this, there are a number of missions in which you can go through the majority of it without firing a single shot or skipping an entire chase sequence.

What's the degree of character customization? Barber, clothes, fat, etc.?
Very high, compared to GTAIV. You won't be able to become obese, however.

That's it. Sounds pretty good if it's true. Maybe too good. SA customizatian, improved VC racketeeran... they either realized what everyone wants, or this is just made up.

GTA IV didn't have it, but you could play it in the background from the console itself. So long as GTA V allows it too, I don't have a problem with no custom music option.
