Interesting find. Eidos Montréal received quite some acclaim for Deus Ex: HR. Looking forward to what they'll be doing with the Hitman franchise. Is there anything known at this point how it will fit into the existing canon/continuity?

It's not Eidos-Montreal developing the new Hitman title. That's the new studio, Square Enix Montreal.

I feel like I should comment on this somehow but find myself unable to form any kind of coherent opinion. I guess I am interested but increasingly more worried?

Hm. What does this mean exactly? Is IOI out of the buisness in this new one? or will it just mean a mass production of Hitman titles from now on maybe?

Can Nick specify this to the noobs like me?

I thought IO had there hands full with H:A so why would they make a second? Does this mean H:A is farther along and almost completed?

Wonder how many people will whine that Bateson isn't in this one too?

Ehm, yes people will "whine" about that. We just have to live with it, but it will always be IOIs biggest fuck up so far. How they treated this man is embarrassing!

Good. I'd like to see what a new studio can do for Hitman. Maybe they'll have the sense to play it more old-school and even bring back the real voice actors. Not likely, but hey. Who knows.

Square Enix Montréal will work with IO Interactive so both studios are able to contribute with awesome Hitman experiences in the years to come. It's really an expansion and a chance for us to bring more titles out there than we've been able to in the past. There are no plans to move everything to Montreal - IO created 47 and he will always be a big part of our DNA. We are sending three guys over to Lee and his team to help make sure the game can be the best Hitman experience possible, so a bit of that IO DNA is also getting transported to Canada.

THREE PEOPLE to Lee?! To LEE?! I assume the Lee guy is working in the Square Enix Montreal office. But three people?! Isn't that like half of IO's staff, including the cleaners and janitors?

Sorry, I'm tired and when I'm tired I act as if I was in a comedy show. A mixture of Friends, Black Adder and "Married... with Children" mostly. More precisely a mix of Chandler Bing, Blackadder and Al Bundy. Which is cool.

When you kill for money, there are no rules.

The Small fixes thread. IOI employees and Hitman developers, please take a look at the thread. At the moment there are about 80 small or smallish things that the fans would like to see improved. Many would improve gameplay and shouldn't be too difficult to fix before Absolution is released.

That's not been fully decided yet. The Montréal guys are very impressed by what G2 does in terms of delivering power for games but also as a dev tool so they are definitely looking at it.
