But 90% of the time you stab a target, get into a huge swordfight, then run like a ninja out of there.
I can't bear the thought of 47 killing a guy in 1 scripted sequence and then sprinting out of whatever location he was in. The exit is always as stealthy as the entry, if not more smooth.

Have you seen the "silent assassination" videos for the first Assassin's Creed? In that game you didn't need to run away, if you were good. That's why I was disappointed in the second one.
I haven't played the first game in a while, but if I recall correctly stealth was not very abundant in there. I am playing Revelations at the moment to supplement my deprivation from the beloved Death to Spies series
btw, may I have a URL to these 'stealth assassination' videos? I assume its under 1 YouTube channel or playlist.

1. Absurd dependence upon and requirements for mini-games to pad out the length and justify the massive maps
2. Four hour monologues after every assassination
Since Hitman has never mini-games or talking dead people... I think we're safe on those counts.
All the developers so far have indicated that they are making the levels to accomodate a variety of playing styles, and traditionally the only level that's been linear in a Hitman game is the finale level (Meet Your Brother, Requiem, etc) so I think we'll be safe on your more specific concern.

The developers have pointed out this flaw as something they have improved in Absolution. All guards won't suddenly become alerted because one guard found a dead body, information like this will pass on gradually (i.e. via police radio). What disappoints me is that on every kill the guards are alerted.

just about the only bright side of the game i guess, in SA during the Japanese castle mission, the guards were paranoid as fuck:
" show me your ID
BONJARU VAY!!
(THE GUARDS HAVE BEEN ALERTED
)*starts running* YAMEE YAMEE!!!!!....................." all hell breaks loose!!!!!*snipers have acquired target*
*snipers have acquired target*
*snipers have acquired target*
*snipers have acquired target*

As for Hitman and AC. Both are different games as the others have said and both are aiming for something totally different. Not to mention that they both have different approach to things or missions. So no, Hitman won't make the same mistake as AC (as you call it) because Hitman is totally different.

Could you, please, explain your point of view otherwise it is "hilarious" to read such statements.Hitman never had good AI. NO, SA Does NOT have better AI than BM or vice versa. Point is, the AI always sucked. That Japan reference above is hilarious . Good one.

As Jardos said, Hitman is about non-linear assassinations. Assassin's Creed was more about getting to a single person by following a linear path. Also, you could earn upgrades by doing mini quests in a city/large area/many areas joined by a network.
Since Hitman:Absolution won't have free exploration of the sort of Assassin's Creed, and it will have distinct levels, there is no reason at all to think that it will end up like Assassin's Creed, or commit the mistakes of Assassin's Creed.

"I wondered how far could this go, before I could stop him. There was no way a imposter could remain that long in the gray darkness..."
*hears sudden movement, some weird sounds*
"Huh? Who was it?"
* hears some instruments in the distance, fading to the distant urban jungle*

I don't need to explain how awful the AI is in Silent Assassin. There are many people who said that BM's AI sucked. But my point is that SA's AI is no better.
Seriously, the Japan levels were the most bugged missions of all time and the overall AI behaviour in SA is stupid and very paranoid to a point of unrealistic where they can see through a mask. lol. But anyway, my point is that the AI is bad in every Hitman game. There's no AI better than the other in Hitman.
Let's hope Absolution sorts this out.
