So another one.. Don't know really, I'm excited for it but I hope it isn't rushed like Brotherhood and Revelations. Ubisoft say they've been working on it for 3 years since AC2 so that's good. Rumours say it's set in the American revolution..

Always knew i didnt belong in this world. I wasnt
made for this. But Ill never forget - those who betrayed me, and
those who never failed my trust. Ill be carrying nothing from
Gontranno but this lesson: never trust anyone and rely on your
instincts. Forget the past. Ill never find peace here. So, Ill
seek justice for myself. Ill choose the truth I like.

I personally wanted it to be in Ancient Egypt or Ming Dynasty/Feudal Japan but I doubt that'll happen as the Animus can only go forward in time, and the last game, Revelations was set in 1511 I think.
If they really wanted to Ubisoft could get around it. They could easily bring into the story that someone has discovered a way in which Desmond can travel back in time so I woulden't count Egypt out yet.
I'd still like to be running around the pyramid in assassins whites.

You've gotten this wrong. The Developers have said that they want to keep going forward, not that the story is forcing them to do so. They could set these games in any time period they want, they've just expressed a desire to keep the timeline moving in one direction, until the end of Desmond's story at least.I personally wanted it to be in Ancient Egypt or Ming Dynasty/Feudal Japan but I doubt that'll happen as the Animus can only go forward in time, and the last game, Revelations was set in 1511 I think.

I wouldent be surprised if AC3 sees Desmond's story all wrapped up.

If these games continue (which they undoubtedly will) I'd like to see them downplay the Animus and modern day storyline. The historical settings are what people actually play these games for, anyway. The modern day sections are just becoming more and more convoluted.

I believe parts of the Sengoku Jidai was later than that and you could have a game about assassinating Oba Nobunaga or having it set in the Imjin War.I personally wanted it to be in Ancient Egypt or Ming Dynasty/Feudal Japan but I doubt that'll happen as the Animus can only go forward in time, and the last game, Revelations was set in 1511 I think.

Apparently that's what the writers intend. They want Desmond's story over and done with before the Mayan 'End of the World' happens in real life, simply because they feel a lot of tension would be lost if the whole storyline was building up to a Doomsday event that we know never actually happened.

I second that. Play as the actual character so its life and death, not just desynchronisation. I really don't like the visual glitches/animus overlay that they put over the olden time stuff all that much anyway.
Other than that, I want to see more variety in movement animations. Ezio's swagger-walk was believable, but when Desmond walks like that he just looks like a dick and when old man Ezio does it just seems odd. Not everyone needs to have the same walk/run, the hook was nice because it changed up the climbing animations a bit.
