INTRODUCING: AGENT 47" is the first gameplay trailer in a new original series. Created entirely from original gameplay moments, INTRODUCING is dedicated to show the richness, depth and possibilities surrounding the living and breathing world of HITMAN: ABSOLUTION™ - powered by IO INTERACTIVE'S new proprietary GLACIER 2™ technology

Always knew i didnt belong in this world. I wasnt

made for this. But Ill never forget - those who betrayed me, and

those who never failed my trust. Ill be carrying nothing from
Gontranno but this lesson: never trust anyone and rely on your

instincts. Forget the past. Ill never find peace here. So, Ill
seek justice for myself. Ill choose the truth I like.

Thanks Drama, wasn't sure whether I should seperate it or not :)

Interesting to see that 47 pushes an officer over a railing at one point, and that he is in disguise much earlier in the level.

Quite clearly this clip shows the variety of play styles that Absolution offers. We've got everything from silently knocking out NPCs with a syringe, dragging their bodies and hiding them in a closet to machine gunning and explosions. One thing which has very gladly caught my eye is the focus on improvisation and using the environment to the best of your abilities, Absolution seems to improve a lot on that compared to it's predecessors based on what we've seen.

It's defiently "sandbox" from Hope. No doubt. And good to see a sniper scene also.

An I must say, some of the deathscenes are brutal! I like it - well done IOI.

One little worrying thing though, which also was seen in the Orphanage gameplay: look at how 47 takes down the guy from 2:07 in the video. It lacks kind of? Hope IO will fix that, because it looks awkward.

Did you guys also notice, that towards the end when Agent 47 stabbed an enemy in the throat with the knife, the blood ran up the enemy's face and down his jacket?

It's defiently "sandbox" from Hope.

If by sandbox you mean more "area space" in a level, then yes. But sandbox really means freedom and options and that's been seen in every level so far, the new trailer proves this by showing that you can take an array of different approaches and obtain a policeman's uniform before the helicopter scene in RFYL. The jargon of the using the word sandbox in terms of games relates strongly to the literal meaning of a sandbox (which is obviously why the word is used), meaning a space (irrelevant of size) where you're free to play around and do anything you want with the sand.

Sanbox in Hitman means space, area, freedom of choice, as if you're in a real place.

Honestly, i've never found a Hitman game to be sandbox. Just because you have several choices available on how to complete the levels, it doesn't make it a sandbox. Nor does it make the level small sandboxes. The levels in Hitman games have always been tightly scripted, with the emphasis on exploiting the script/patterns laid out to you from watching the movements of the AI and targets. This time, it seems to be more dynamic and instinctive.

Not sure what you are talking about. Are you talking about the rapid speed that is put into it? I don't see anything wrong with it. The graphics from "Hope" if that's what it's called is amazing. I don't really see anything wrong at all in this clip, the only concern I would have if a need to find one is the difficulty of the game. It seems fairly easy to grab and knock down opponents in this game so far.

I hope you still have to tighten the fibre wire before using it. If it's just a button press it's going to be so much less satisfying. In that trailer it looked pretty instantaneous.

You have to press a button repetedeatly when you have to choke someone in game, maybe there's something similar to do with the fiber wire too.

I come home from a shit day and college and this made it all better. Good to see both play styles and the graphics also looks amazing. The hand to hand combat looks a bit too stiff, it doesn't seem fluid. (unlike convictions) that's the only complaint i have

Good catch. Lovely detail.

Great trailer once again. The graphics are amazing and this is just console footage. I really hope the PC version won't be a mere port.

I hope so, too. Although this quote is somewhat reassuring...

There is a dedicated team working on optimising the PC version of the game that has come directly from the Glacier 2 engine i.e it's not a port from the console versions. As it stands right now, we're still working on getting the finalised 'required' and 'recommended' lists to a point that we are happy to lock them and share them. Specific details will all be released at once and we'll make sure that the info can be easily found.

@Frantz - behold the healing power of Hitman.

Great trailer/featurette, IO, makes me more excited than ever for the game. Really nothing to complain about here from my perspective, only things to be happy about - pushing over railings back and looking better than before; the amazing cloth effects, esp. during the point shooting scene (which looked better than when we saw it in Rosewood); the much better-looking sniper scope view, to name a few.

I like this approach to marketing vids, with a narrator talking directly to the audience about what the developers are trying to achieve - Rockstar did the same thing with Max Payne 3 to great effect. Very much looking forward to the "Tools of Trade" vid that was teased.

@Vindex - yes, pretending to surrender. I think it's a great addition. We've heard already that police-type NPC's will have an arrest mode before going into shoot you down mode, and this goes hand-in-hand with that.
