Let's hope IO doesn't destroy the Hitman series

With so many game series changing directions and opting to cater towards wider markets, are the last bastions of times past clinging on for dear life in an increasingly competitive and more costly marketplace? Can we be assured by those developers who want to sell as many units as possible to speak the truth about their projects pre release amongst all the hype preamble and sneak peaks. Well IO Interactive have been quite forthcoming with their staged gameplay demo which has been doing the rounds since last year, and with E3 approaching it's likely we'll see and hear a lot more; but there's a concern having seen the latest nun filled trailer that despite reassurances from IO Interactive, that they might just screw up the Hitman series in an attempt to cater towards the growing marketplace of more casual gamers.
The hitman games are seen as slow paced methodical gameplay experiences, where even the slightest running animation could blow your cover, and yet, the visual representation of Agent 47 we get to see from the trailers, is of a man on mission, a cold killer who strangles, punches and shoots just like any other action hero we've seen countless times before. There's concern that the cool, calculated cunning of premeditated actions could be lost. Take a look at the video and make your own judgements. These are very much changed times we live in.
