Does anyone think that the RFYL "I never left" sounded like a different actor than the Birdy cutscene.

The RFYL voice did have the dark, menacing tone that suits 47. Of course, it's not Bateson, but still acceptable.

The voice in the birdy cutscene just sounds quite... generic.

THe latter half of this video proves that the "I never left" was much lower than "I need information...for a price of course"

I think it's possible that they could be the same actor, but "I never left" was him attempting to speak at a much lower pitch than his normal range. It sounded horrible and forced. "I need information..." is nowhere near as ridiculous.

Its the same actor. Nick@io confirmed it way back last year when rfyl was released. We were all speculating whether it was a place holder voice and he came in and said that's the final voice actor.

Yeah i put Lee Hong there and the jade figurine (which is a mess really) just because they fit better there, so don't take it seriously. Anyway i still think his voice sounds awesome there. Shame on you voice casting people.

Nice job Wolf89! With Mr. Bateson's voice, this Agent 47 comes off as a sharper, more hardcore and absolutely ruthless contract killer.

On the other hand, the Absolution 47 voice makes the fictional character come across as an emotional wussy and a pansy. If darker and more human is what the casting director was aiming for, he/she missed the mark.

The VA voice is nice, clearly he should be in the VO industry, but he's ill suited to be the voice of Agent 47.

The new VA gets a break, just don't mistake what I wrote as an opinion of the new guy's voice matched to Agent 47 to mean that this new actor sucks overall.

Quite the contrary. The new guy has a nice voice and obvious talent... but in my opinion, his voice doesn't suit the stone cold, badass character model of Agent 47.

Would his voice come out of a character named Agent 47? And it's not only the voice, but the nature of the sentences coming from him.

No one is saying he has a bad voice, but just that it doesn't fit 47 at all. The new voice actor maybe (and probably) have more experience than Bateson, but all of that don't mean anything when his voice is completely wrong for the role.

Where does this Mark Sloan rumor come from? As I remember it was just some forum member in here who mentioned him. And it can't be true that Mark Sloan confirmed working on Absolution as Agent 47 in 2009, because IOI promised Bateson the role in 2010. So if all of this should be true, then IOI are more dicks then first thought. I don't believe this rumor though.

In my honest opinion; This guy should of been the reestablishment of Bateson!
I can definitely auscultate similarities with this voice an 47's.
This guys voice is bitter, cold, sinister. I just believe this voice would fit 47 perfectly as a replacement in Absolution due the events that have previously taken place?

I had a terrible thought. Diana's VA was replaced and Diana is confirmed to be killed off in this game. What if they are planning to do the same for 47?
