Anyone into fishing here? During the summer I like to get my butt outside as much as possible and fishing is always fun. Last year I caught a 10 lb large-mouth bass so hoping to get another, or something bigger this year.

I'm too young to have a fishing license. The sport itself looks fun, though. It's definitely for the more patient folks out there.

I did do quite a bit of net fishing as a child. Catching frogs, minnows, and the like.

I also caught a crayfish with my bare hands once.

I have also fished in Runescape. I would have fished in Skyrim if the game allowed it.

In this day and age, losing your wallet is more dramatic than losing your virginity.

Yes i tend to go fishing in the summertime. Caught a load of plaice last year (the diversity is not that great in Denmark). Then i caught the occasional greater weever (looks like a small cod, is poisonous as hell) and of course I got stung by one of these badboys' sharp poisonous spikes resulting in a hand which was twice its normal size... Fun times

Yes ! I never used to like it, but in the summertime nothing beats getting a few beers and hitting the lake for a day! I never normally catch anything big though lol, We have a few decent places to go in my area aswell

I like fishing, though I feel I shouldn't (it's quite boring).
Me and my friend used to poach in a breeding lake, easy pickings. I had no rod or spinners, I just borrowed some line and a hook and dug up slugs/worms and caught just as many as my friend.
We did have to leg it with a bag full of fish one time though when a ranger orvehatever showed up.

I went Conga eel fishing once too. Those things are fucking horrible.

In what state?

That doesn’t count.

I like to go because it's relaxing. I fish about 60% of the time I'd say, the rest is just lounging and enjoying the weather :)

If anyone's interested, I caught a walleye tonight. Also got spiked for the first time from a catfish, that was fun...

I have never fished in my life. My closest experience to "fishing" was taking out small fish out of an aquarium pond using a net when I was eight.

More like catch and release them dead after accidentally holding them out of the water for too long. (Sometimes!) :)

My coworker from the construction a couple of years back used to fish with a spear made out of a rebar. Guy lived in a garage and listened to punk music. Also had his ex girlfriend's pic tattooed on his chest, but it looked like Mario Girotti and we used to tease him about it.

My grandpa used to go fishing as well when I was a kid, but I've only been along for once and you can imagine how much fun it is for a kid high on sugar 24/7.

LOL. I used to scoop the fish out of mine too. Half the time they'd flip out of my hand onto the floor so needless to say we lost a few :P

This!

Fishing sounds fun but first I think it's a good idea for me to learn how to swim
