So if I kill civvies, using the "anyway you want it approach", I am penalized online? That is the lamest piece of news I've heard.

It's hard to say. I usually try to finish a replayable game quickly. The notoriety system in BM made me take my time to at least ensure there were no witnesses. If there is a similar mechanic, I will probably take my time.

No, you are definetly not penalized online. What I think the devs meant was, that if you kill civilians, it would affect your rating on that particular level, just like in the previous games. This will just transfer to the online leaderboards instead. If you'd then do a second playthrough of the very same level, but ended up with.a higher score, it would overwrite the old score. Just like in Sniper Challenge.

Tasteless nazi joke then you made a 16 year old new mother cry???? Are you bragging??? And all after talking about how terrible America is.

Good rule of thumb to remember: Aeseric is only ever being sincere when he's talking about Hitman.

I don't if I should answer the above questions, because it would take the thread off-topic. At the same time, I feel bad if I ignore both of you who have asked such questions.

I will verify whether acknowledging your posts will derail the thread. If not, I will edit this post to answer them. It is not courteous to ignore people, but I must do it (for now) for the purpose of the thread.

Why fast? And will that result in blood bath for you or will you still go for a professional approach?

Waited 6 years for a new Hitman Game. Certainly wouldn't make sense therefore to rush through the game in 1-2 days. I'll take it slow and let the game finish in it's own time. I'd be happy if i could get anything from 4-5 days play before completion. Have no idea how long it took me before I completed BM for the first time.

How fast are you going to play, 91210?

Not very fast, but lets say the first time is to see the story, because that is what fascinates me in the Hitman games. After that I will play it to reach the silent assassin bonus and then go to higher level

I really hope so, If not I am thinking to disable the internet connection on my PS3 so when I'm bored I can mass murder evry one. I really like to do that sometimes

Fast as in, I will play the game as soon as I can. I will explore every level like a maniac of course, find every little item of interaction.

^That should be awesome in Absolution with all the new features and better, more advanced AI. However, I like silent takedowns with a pistol. I used to take out all the guards with a headshot on A vintage year from time to time just to practice my aim (oh, and I never engage in a gun fight) and I would like to do the same in Absolution after I know the SA routes.

For future reference (this applies to all members) IGNORE off-topic posts or point it out that it's off topic and continue on topic discussion. Actions like that would make threads better for ALL members. No one wants to enter a thread and see a totally unrelated discussion going on inside it, particularly if it's semantics.

Now, I'll probably try to finish the game in Silent Assassin style. I don't play video games very often, but when I play those I like I'd rather take my time rather than rush through it.

Yeah the A.I should be better. I still remember how disappointing it was that you could take down many soldiers armed with AK's with just a pistol in a firefight.
Just like in another game, Portrait of Ruin, where you could get into close quarters with enemies with just the initial weapons and the first fire spell you got for half of the game.
I'm sure Absolution should be offering a decent level of difficulty, with guards being more alert and responsive as shown in the Chinatown gameplay level, yet they should be manageable with new tactics 47 can use, and also the Instinct feature.

it'll be neat to trial & error the hopefully numerous/ creative hit options; for each contract.

i like to be methodical.

i cant understand the logic of rushing through games anyway. its been 6 years since the last hitman game (a truly memorable gaming experience, probably my favorite of the series thusfar, & i have played all) & they certainly cost enough, might as well make the experience last?

that's just me though.

I'm going to play at a natural pace, in which I won't observe absolutely everything around me to the fullest, but I will play through it taking my time as well. Then, after my first playthrough is completed, I can switch over to being more observative and more unique.
