Why would they hire a somewhat well-known actress to voice a character that dies at the beginning of the game? They made her an ICA file, and I even saw the picture of Marsha Thompson in a mo-cap suit, which further suggests that Diana has a significant role in this game. I think announcing her death before the game has been released is just a marketing ploy to get a 'shocking twist' early into the storyline. The folks at IO aren't very subtle (as we saw from the Saints trailer), and it shows by how much emphasis they have put on Diana's apparent 'death'.

Diana obviously does die, as evidenced by the fact that her lifeless corpse is seen in several trailers. There's most likely flashbacks of some sort, but we can say for certain that she is dead.

Diana could have a double, or 47 only fakes her death, maybe that is the reason 47 is hunted by the ICA, it's more like that Diana is in fact dead but there is always that chance.
