Yeah they already confirmed that some months ago. It won't be developed by IO though, but apparently it will use the same engine and everything, so i don't think it will be too far from Absolution. I don't remember who'll be making it but if it is the devs from Deux Ex it has a great chance of being successful since probably their name will attract people.

Well yes, but this wasn't an official announcement like the title of the thread makes it seem. Reading the OP it's just taking the quote where the prize for having the top Sniper challenge score will get you in the next game. So that isn't really an announcement just confirmation that the game will exist. I’m sure once they are ready to tell everyone about the new game there will be a more formal announcement. Wasn’t there also confirmation earlier this year about them registering the trademark for the name Hitman Profession?

Don't believe in Bateson comeback either, but maybe IO could at least consider how they want to portray 47 in the future. Should it really be a generic american voice actor?

I actually don' care if they make it full non-stop action, I'm already gonna have the hitman I've been wating for 4 years from IOI. I will buy it though, but if this Hitman is some sort of spin off that would be pretty cool.

You're right. They're not the devs behind Deux Ex, but new ones. Unfortunately i have a feeling they'll use the same people that did the casting for Absolution. I sure hope not. Bateson and Mckee coming back is too good to be true. Reality is never that cool. But i'll keep on asking for their return.
