It amazes me that people who love the Witcher 3 also don’t like RDR, I’ve always seen them as very similar games.

#29

One reason could be that RDR did not make it to PC.

#30

I like RDR but don’t love it. Not a fan of the main or side quests, dislike the writing where everyone talks in such strange, exagerrated ways, as well as in the GTA games. I like RDR where I get to play cowboy essentially. I’ll probably buy RDR2 when it goes on sale.

I really like Witcher 3, despite not being a fan of fantasy settings. Not a fan of the big plot, especially on Ciri who is so dull. But I love the side quests and the open world and the expansion pack is really good.

#31

I thought that the expansions for The Witcher 3 were far better in the story department, Gaunter O’Dimm is probably the most memorable villain that I’ve ever seen in a game. The side content was also my favourite part of the main game.

I’ve always felt that TW3 and RDR had the only “good” stories in videogames, with RDR coming out on top. The colourful cast of characters that all somehow manage to have different sorts of true chemistry in conversation with John, the wonderful character arc and possibly the greatest ending to a game ever. The understanding of silence and reservation, letting the player soak in the somber moments of it’s side content instead of forcing the player into action sequences like GTAV’s side missions (I didn’t like GTAV’s story mode).

On combat itself, nothing in a Rockstar game has felt as good before or after. The way npc’s react to gunshots feels like something real, with the way they stagger and touches like disarming. Sound design, world detail, ahh it’s a perfect game.

Anyways I won’t go on about that forever, RDR has a style for sure but it’s unique and beautiful imo and I would say the same for TW3.

I think Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor is 22 when you subtracted 1 point from it. So, it’s 22 and not 23.
