Elusive Target #26: THE FORGER (Year 4: 08 - 18 March 2024)

I almost missed my shot. I got isnpired by @47saso47’s playthrough, and started in attic instead of AV centre, which allowed me to kill him with chandelier easier, but due to panic that occured on stairs, I’ve almost missed him.

I didn’t even realise that we didn’t get The Forger during H2 - was surprised when I clicked the tile that the briefing started playing automatically because it hadn’t been marked as played before.

SASONKO wiber fire: day 1 player style. Default-ish start/loadout, because why bother with mastery unlocks when in 48 hours the target is gone forever, right?

Finally unlocked the Paris tuxedo and only need the Florida fit to complete my ET suit collection. Sorry for the blurry video, forgot to switch to FullHD before recording.

I do like that they chose to end Year 2 off with a relatively easy ET to do. Every time I took him out I exited in his speedboat to insult him a bit more. It’s weird that they never did something like The Deceivers with The Forger and The Broker given that these two ETs already connect together in their stories unlike The Congressman and The Guru.

It’s almost guaranteed there will be ETs in the future for people who buy the World of Assassination edition, but it remains to be seen if they’ll be Year 3 versions or just reactivations of older ETs. It’s interesting looking back that half of the 14 legacy ETs they ran in Hitman 2 haven’t come back as proper ETs in 3 yet: The Prince, The Fixer, The Identity Thief, The Chef, The Angel of Death, The Blackmailer, and The Warlord.

Nothing special, but I attempted to give Sergei one last trip on his speedboat…

But the (rather large) invisible walls had other ideas…

If this is the final elusive target, it’s a poetic end to a long and tumultuous tapestry, plus we still have the arcade, so I’m happy to bid bon voyage to what has been (until Freelancer) the most novel concept in the W.O.A (even if the execution was not up to 47’s standards  ).

Hold on, at 0:33.

You can ask him to follow you with a prompt if you are in a crew disguise ? Huh. Time to go to the Arcade.

Went out with a bang for my potential last flying propane kill on an elusive target.

Sometimes, that pistol tucked underneath the couch on the 2nd floor, near the staircase where guests are frisked before going up to the third floor, really comes in handy. Whoever left that there ensured Mr. Larin’s untraceable death.

Kept it simple. I treated this like it was released in 2016, used only the Silverballer (a Paris Mastery unlock then and now), fibre wire, and lock pick. Started as Tech Crew undercover, triggered the fireworks and took out the cameras. Unlocked Shiek’s room, dropped the baller for the Forger to notice and occupy his escort, while I used the fibre wire to assassinate my target and hide the body in the closet in the adjacent piano room.

Left how I started the game, the default gate entrance with a poetic time of 1:47.

Starting Location: AV Center
Weapon: Iceballer
Gear: Lethal Syringe

Outcome: Grabbed the Firework Remote and activated it to manipulate Victors Pathing. Following that I extorted two cameras in the AV Room and and ran towards the target. Bodyguard wasn’t in the room cause he got stopped moving so I syringed the target and got a poison kill, left through the front gates.

Results: Silent Assassin 1:25

Used that hidden handgun to make his bodyguard step away, lured him to his office with the vacuum, fiber wired him, and walked out. No fuss, no emetic tricks, smooth sailing, SASO, I feel vindicated from my first lousy attempt at my first ET.
