That’s interesting. If it were totally true we’d be jumping at every opportunity though. We’re only into it when money and power is involved. We didn’t hesitate to get into the gulf wars bc they have oil.
Then there is the Balkins, Rwanda, and Somalia. It took us way too long to get into the Balkins and Somalia and we never really did anything in Rwanda b/c we feared another Black Hawk Down disaster. I imagine if those places had oil we would have been way more eager.

Balkans! And that was simply to accrue diplomatic capital in the aftermath of the Cold War.
Somalia has natural gas deposits, it is also was a major port town on the Horn of Africa. America had and still has sunk a lot of money into the nation in an effort to save it. Mostly though Somalia was just an excuse to test out American private military efficacy without leaning on the actual military.
To your loss of course, that was because America thought it had no need for its heavy metals plus I am pretty sure Rwanda still has ties to the Europeans.
Either way the point wasn’t that America has to insert itself into every conflict just that it does so to prop itself up and, perhaps most importantly, Americans commit violence against themselves to fill the hole when they aren’t.

I think it’d be cool if 4 (targets) got down to 1 so they could be taken out at once. Maybe not kill anyone for a long time, just have a long list of 1s, then the list will get short really quick once 4 start being taken out, and it just cascades! 
I also wonder what kind of… gimmicks(?) would work on something like this game.
Maybe something like teams, or swap a % of HP, protec a target for X number of turns…
Poison effect where a target loses some amount after so many people reply, but how to apply it?
The biggest problem might be with people paying attention and following/keeping track of those buffs/debuffs.

Now… Can the effect be added by other players, multiplying the effect and making their demise that much quicker? Or is only 1 debuff possible so as to not abuse the poor targets. 
Maybe only 1 target can be poisoned at a time… Or multiple if enough Super points exist from other higher HP targets.

I can see deducting from a higher voted target (A) to feign attacks on another (B) when you’re really just helping to bring them (A) down. Maybe they can’t be borrowed from when they return to 20 HP.

Somalia also has tons of off shore oil but for whatever reason that just wasn’t on anyone’s radar back then. It’s just recently that Turkey has locked up the rights to most of it with a defence and business alliance.
Rwanda: yes our loss, but out of all 3 that’s the one I really wish we had gone to try and fix much sooner. Europe was late to the party. So much horror in all 3 of those, but Clinton has said his biggest regret was not doing anything in Rwanda. The US knew what was gonna happen. Never coulda stopped it flat out, but certainly could have nipped it.
