2nd Hitman Target Championship - H2SA

You don’t have to justify eliminating a SA target. Like just look at this list and tell me if you can even recall who half these people are from memory.

Even Pablo Ochoa is better than most of these schmucks.

They are all a bit bland, but i remember everyone. Also, thanks, i guess? :face_blowing_a_kiss:

I mean I like to throw the competition a bone every now and then just to really keep them guessing.

I can tell you who all of them are. Much like how Ochoa can probably do the same with C47

Sadly a majority of targets in SA are very bland. Not fleshed out characters. A lot of them are just transition tagets, setting up a more developed target. C47 is guilty of this as well.

It’s first in later games, that each target is a star in themselves.

I chalk that up to SA’s plot being centred on an inanimate object for most of the game and that the narrative is centred around a series of gotcha twists left at the tailend rather than a sort of unwrapping, character driven mystery of the first game.

Absolution felt to me like 80-90% transition targets. SA had some good ones but you’re right that they weren’t fleshed out. If the likes of Hayamoto Sr, Giuseppe Guiliani or Hannelore von Kamprad were made in today’s games, we’d have opportunities and lore galore. Charlie Sidjan would roam his apartment in a bathrobe, General Zhupikov would be having panicked phone calls to get him smuggled to Berlin, and 47 would be able to knock out Hayamoto Jr’s mob contact Tanaka and pose as him in the meeting to say ominous things.

Did you just call Father Vittorio an inanimate object?

I meant the missile but make of that memory lapse what you will about the people you don’t kill.

Also welcome back Gontranno, it feels like forever since I have seen you.

Thank you kindly  I took a Hitman break after the third game came out. I didn’t like how it ended and I didn’t want to waste the forum’s server space with negativity. There’s enough of that in the world already!

Oh yes the nukes! You forgot the hostage and I forgot the WMDs  Now that the trilogy is over, I’d welcome a remastery/remaking of the originals along the lines of Destroy All Humans. Updated graphics and controls, but original audio and plot. That way they could add things in to expand the characters, while still being faithful to the original. Plus a Providence herald could be in the crowd at the embassy party, or other such harmless retcons.

Yeah it was lot more pervasive because it was the end of the game. Feels like forever but it has only been three years, then again every year has felt like forever for me since corona.

Still, welcome back agent.

It’s hard not choosing Brat Charliego Sidjan, because I always loved being able to get into where he is disguised as a fireman, then sneak up behind him and plant an axe in the back of his head. Also love being able to cap his brother while he’s relaxing in a hot tub. But, in the end, nothing can beat that first time that I used the brilliant and (at the time, it seemed) innovative technique of improperly cutting a fugu fish in order to poison Masahiro Hayamoto Jr., after getting him to swallow a tracking device, all so we could find out where his father was by tracking the body. The fact that two entire missions in WoA (three if you count the strategy of tracking Janus’s coffin after the fact is a nod to it) reference him and/or his father sixteen years later, as well as the Legacy cinematic after the ICA training facility, is a testament to how iconic that kill is.

I’m downvoting the same two as @The_Elite_Institute, for slightly different but related reasons: they’re such inconsequential and immemorable targets, that I always forget they’re in the game until it’s time to go after them. This doesn’t happen with any other targets in any other game in the series, so I say be gone with them.

All my congratulations to @Norseman for being the first to abuse the lack of a quantum superposition rule the second heat in a row!

It appears that right after the entire quantum superposition confusion, @EvilGeniusRo saw the opportunity to add an extra point to Hayamoto Sr.
