Is the map going to be added automatically with the patch or will have to be downloaded separately?

Does anyone know if it’s going to just appear, or are we going to have to download it from the store like other maps?
Suppose we’ve been wrong all this time about it’s placement… what if it’s not going to appear in the destinations tab, but in the side missions, so it will be like the bonus mission, but the only one that’s part of the main campaign. Not likely, but what if it is?
It’s getting patched in. As per the roadmap post:
This update will not only give you the new location, but also feature some community reported issues and some QoL improvements.
So, it’s just gonna appear?

Just like elusive targets, arcade, and new escalations do I think.
I’ve just finished all the new GTA update, great to tide me by until release of Ambrose. Worked out perfectly 
I just want to be able to load it before I go to work, so I can see for myself when it takes place. I can find the patience to play it until tonight, but I gotta a know immediately when it is so I can start assimilating that into my mind to adjust the story in my head.
So what happened at the last whole hour? Dis they bar all from playing online, so that they would have no problems when starting to update at the next hour? Or did they start the update-work then, and we’ll be able to play from the next whole hour?
Sorry for not mentioning any specific times, as I am shit when it comes to timezones… 
When maintenance starts they just take the servers offline. If you happen to be playing the game at that moment, you will get a “Cannot connect” message. They kick everyone offline at that point. Once the servers come back, the game will download the patch and you can play online again. Is that what you were asking?

Thank you for the answer, I think so - I can shorten the question like this: “When do we get to play Ambrose Island?” though! But I don’t know if you have THAT answer as well?
When the maintenance is done… roughly 10 minutes or so from now, but that’s assuming maintenance ends on schedule.

As far as I understood you can play the new map once you have downloaded it. But you can’t play it online till the servers are back.
