The Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Switch Cloud version will be available at a later time, which will be shared as soon as it is confirmed.

Iā€™m sorry you are frustrated.
Itā€™s on xboxā€™s verification process as it slower, and it is not iois fault. (although this hotfix shouldnā€™t have needed to exist) This is just how it is for hotfixes sadly.:purple_heart:

I havenā€™t touched hitman since i heard the bug crashes freelancer or something. So did the patch fix the game? Iā€™m waiting patiently to play again.

Double checked mine and can confirm both the Splitter SMG and Ancestral Pistol are now fixed now on Xbox :slightly_smiling_face:

In the wake of the Ancestral Pistol being fixed for Xbox, I need some advice on how to proceed in Freelancer:

  • My last three challenges until 100% completion are Prestige 10, Top Dog, and GOAT, the latter two taking arguably longest to complete out of the entire challenge set. For those two, Iā€™m a little over 75% done.
  • Currently just need the pistol to move on to Prestige 9.
  • In the meantime, for the past week or so waiting for the fix, I was basically speeding through Syndicates and Campaigns just to make a dent in Top Dog and GOAT (ignoring Prestige objectives, relying on long-distance kills, getting in then out, intentionally failing levels to knock one off the board, etc.)
  • Iā€™m at a million merces, and ready to finally collect the pistol. But for expediency, should I continue to grind for Top Dog or GOAT as Iā€™ve been doing, or smash that laptop for Prestige 9, (resetting everything), and work towards Prestige 10?

Honestly in your place Iā€™d just activate prestige 10 and work on collecting everything back, Top Dog just takes forever but collecting everything just takes like 3-4 campaigns, so by the time you have everything back youā€™d still be trying to get Top Dog. You can still speedrun through everything, the only things you really need for Freelancer are a silenced sniper and a silenced handgun / SMG.
