Ok, now that Iāve vented about the twitch stuff letās talk about the target. Jean-Claude Van Damme, great, finally a celebrity I know lol, although I donāt know how my mom would feel if she sees me killing her first celebrity crush.
Something interesting is that they made two character models for both young and old Van Damme. Will we see the young version in game or is it just eyecandy for the trailer and poster. It would be cool if the level 1 of the arcade was a bonus flashback mission where we kill young Van Damme.

I have a similar distaste for the idea of this, but my own principles donāt conflict with this arrangement, so Iām gonna be one obtaining the extra suit. But Iām not happy with that, IOI.

I love that the IGN gameplay footage was captured on a PS5 and prominently displays the PS5 Saving bug that has been present for over 3.5 years now.

Isā¦ is there no roadmap picture for this season yet? I clicked on the blog spot expecting to see it along with pics of the new rewards but I couldnāt find it. Also damn what happened to IOās site? Havenāt visited it in literal years and its just so ugly and annoying to read through nowā¦

i know this isnāt popular but i actually quite like the twitch drop. itās a recolour, so missing out on it doesnt bother me at all. if they had done this 5 years ago Iād be pissed off so I understand why this will annoy completionistsā¦ but itās good streamers are being supported! as long as they limit it to ugly purple recolours iām not gonna lose any sleep over it

Why the hell is a Twitch Drop now locked behind a paywall of giving a random streamer money?
People moaned about the past Drops that they had to watch something they had no interest in watching - so why did anyone think taking things even further and involving money would remotely be a good idea?
I can only assume that the reason this was chosen is that IO gets a bigger reward from Twitch for running this type of campaign due to the money theyāll be hoping it brings in.
Whoever made this decision is extremely out of touch with the community.

At least thereās a way to get around the paid Twitch Drop thing though.
When you have an IO Account that has earned a Drop, any platform account you connect to that IO account will get the Drops unlocked in-game. They donāt disappear even once you disconnect from the IO account either. Iāve shared past Drops with people a few times this way.
So if you have people you feel you can trust with an IO account, you can spread the paid Drop around to multiple people with only one sub being paid to Twitch.

Target looks interesting, Iāll buy the pack since Iām in the process of moving and might miss the regular ET version and the pack gives permanent access to the Arcade version.
I will NOT however be paying some rando twitch streamer ONE time for a suit recolor. Not gonna happen. Terrible Idea.

ā¦no. Not just next time, This time. This feedback youāre getting should be applied to the current situation, not just what to do in future twitch drop campaigns. I appreciate youāre taking on the feedback, but itās this current drop we have a problem with right now, not any future ones.
This campaign should be cancelled, not dismissed in favour of solely improving for the future.
Forgive my abrasiveness, but itās been a hell of a fortnight, and I am in no mood for being played like a goddamn fiddle again.

Rightā¦ maybe itās more accepted as a thing in other styles of games (I have no idea if those communities hate this kind of exclusivity too) but manā¦ weāve had great strides recently in making content more accessible to the wider Hitman community and rolling back some FOMO and previously limited content.
But then this is another step back in the annoying live-service model.
Feels extra weird to see this go so far for Hitman.

I think the whole āpay for the Dropā thing is fairly new. Iāve seen it around a little bit over the last few months, but have never seen it last year or anything. So it hasnāt had a chance to be completely shunned yet.

If the Arcade contract is like the other CelebrET contracts, level 2 will be āno disguise changesā and ādonāt get spottedā. So there will be something baked in to make it doable I would imagine.
Though they might mix it up for this one - because 14 targets is going to be a long run with lots of chances for ādonāt get spottedā to fail you.

Didnāt even read about the Twitch-thing until now. Not much new to add but: Iāve only created a Twitch-account for those drops. And still havenāt watched anything there, just left a tab with the stream open in the background while doing other stuff. Iāll probably sub to someone just to get everything (although I never care about what 47 is wearingā¦). Couldnāt I just open a channel myself and pay me? Or pay, get the suit and then cancel the payment? Donāt know about what law applies to Twitch subscriptions but Iām pretty sure everything available in Europe must have a one month cancellation policy for no cost at all.
Anyway: Bad idea, makes me feel like IOI doesnāt know the fanbase.
