Even ignoring the fact that he’s a world-famous (but not HitmanForum-famous) DJ, I’m still really excited for The Drop since it means Berlin is getting a second ET. The Ascensionist being the only Dubai ET is fine since she’s so good and The Rage being the only ET in Chongqing is okay (mid ET for a mid map). However, a map as excellently designed as Berlin only getting The Liability is criminal.

Especially given that this Elusive Target is such a good fit for the nightclub atmosphere of Berlin. I have no idea who the real person is and I don’t particularly care as it isn’t my scene, but as an Elusive Target, you almost couldn’t ask for a better map to stick a disc jockey in.

Maybe it’s just because the audience of HITMAN are not an EDM people 
Though I guess if it was more famous DJ like ATB, Tiesto, David Guetta, Benassi Bros, Armin, Ferry Corsten etc etc etc, the percentage of knowing people would’ve been bigger
But I wouldn’t want any of named above been killed even in the game

Seems like a bizarre choice to put him into the game then if EDM people don’t equal HITMAN players and HITMAN players don’t equal EDM people…

I was genuinely surprised and caught out of the blue when I saw the announcement to be honest.
I understand the movie industry people being involved (games and movies are similar because they are fiction and need actors), but I never thought famous people from other whatever areas would be involved into HITMAN.
So yes, it’s a slightly strange move from IOI.
And I would like to hear the motivation and explanation from IOI why they chose specifically Vegas.
It’s quite understandable though that it might’ve been a DJ considering Berlin layout but why Berlin also? I mean out of the rest H3 maps

Personally, if they were going to use a celebrity for an Elusive Target, even though I know it would be outside IOI’s ability to afford, I’d have preferred a pop singer who’s music I’m sick of hearing. A Taylor Swift ET, perhaps?

Meh, could be as simple as “the guy at IOI responsible for drumming up marketing is a big fan of that genre” with no consideration of whether actual Hitman players had ever heard of them.

I know little enough about this guy that when someone mentioned “EDM” I had to look up what that even meant (“Electronic Dance Music”). Of course I’ve also had to look up what “FOMO” meant and a bunch of other acronyms.
I think the elusive target will still be great though, even without any foreknowledge of who the guy is, but I doubt it will feel on the same level as the Gary Busey or Sean Bean contracts.

Yeah this is where my expectations are at tbh. The Undying had a full-on guided Mission Story and had quite the marketing campaign behind it as it was to drum up hype for H2 leading up to launch. It was a marketing tool.
I’d be very surprised if we got that for The Drop, since the game is quite old at this point and IO haven’t even been pushing it hard on socials to try generate interest.

Nice! Yeah I really like Hedorah too, but I think my favorites are Biollante, Spacegodzilla and Destoroyah

I did set up a Twitch account some time ago to watch IOI anouncing new stuff and some roulette rivals. So I’m not really a pro there. Hence my question: Does it matter where I watch Hitman there? A specific stream? Or just any stream playing Hitman?
