I’m taking this as a compliment
47 kinda reminds me of wombo that app face
Well @musicalmushr00m and @Notex were talking in the G2M discord, and they speculated that in lieu of manually improving the facial animations (or get mocap, expensive) that they used Metahuman to create 47 and used Unreal for the (easy) facial capture. And this model lacks 47’s defining facial features, consistent with Metahuman models.
We’d likely never know unless @Clemens_IOI or @Travis_IOI spill the beans.
Damn, really? Can it not make “stylized” type humans like 47 with his cutting-edge jawline?
I thought the whole tech demo and main sell of the meta human was that it was capable of so many different permutations of a human-like face…
My apologies, when they said “metahumans thingy” I believe they (Sieni) were referencing the facial animation thingy. I’m not entirely sure.
But from my eyes, you can import models into MetaHuman so I don’t see this being it. It’s certainly a possibility. I don’t see why’d they deviate from their engine anyway.
No I was referring to the mesh itself, though of course by that logic it would also use the metahuman facial capture, which would be really convenient.
My MetaHuman interpretation of 47 (from June 2022)
Comparison with ET trailer face:
It could be a new model on its own but it really sort of has the MetaHuman “look” (lacking defined facial features like a sharp jawline, cheekbones, etc). It’s also possible it’s also a mesh to metahuman pipeline or some metahuman that was edited externally afterwards.
But this is all conjecture of course. The only way for sure to know is to ask the team what mesh and animation pipeline was used to make this trailer.
My apologies then :).
Why does he look like a bald Liam Neeson from this angle ?
Very interesting. Imagine Beldingford Manor and A New Life remastered?
We can dream I guess!
His lips are moving strangely. Well it’s a DJ target in what he think is a nightclub. Maybe he’s rolling?
Apparently Dimitri’s voice acting in MK sucked so much it was a meme so thats a great look into the future
Never heard of this guy (like 99.9% of other DJs, I mean…), but new ET or not, I can´t say I´m not dissapointed we´re getting this while The Fixer still hasn´t made a comeback in ETA, other ETs made only one appearance (looking at The Warlord and The Ex-Dictator specifically), and we still don´t have The Brothers available in any official form…
While I share the feeling, this news reveals that the life of the game is probably gonna be longer than any of us thought, which means more time for them to eventually release those, or at least allow permanent access to all ETs, which would allow the fixer to come in by default.
What if you can kill him with a melon scoop & Diana’s like “you really balled the drop this time 47”
A Drop The Bass challenge for pacifying Dimitri with a fish and dumping him on the river.
Love it!
Those off face models… Feels like someone typed in 47’s description into a ChatGPT-like program, and was sure to mention the part where he escaped from an asylum.
OKAYYYYYY
honestly we won so hard, but 47 looks totally fugs and botched in that trailer. he needs his yass pills
How on earth can this community make something exciting and new and then taint it by making tangential complaints about the game.
Can we enjoy something…for like, 5 minutes?
Yeah, because people don’t like him or his special objectives. Short of reworking him and his briefing, they’re probably not gonna touch him.
Same reason as above, Warlord and Ex-dictator aren’t well liked according to their internal stats (which is amusing as in the past year they’ve been re-ran as an actual ET twice now).
I’d have to check but I think there are very few ET’s that haven’t run at least twice in ETA. Willing to be proven wrong on this, but none come to mind.
Because they are unfinished, their briefing and voice lines make no sense now, and are generally not all that fun (Think “The Food Critic” or “The Gunrunner” but in a public area, and you’ve got the idea of how fun that all sounds).
Referencing my guide, the ETs who have only appeared once in the ET Arcade are: The Forger, The Sensation, The Ex-Dictator, The Chef, and The Warlord. In other words, 14.3% of the ETs in the Arcade only appeared once.
I think all they’d need to do to fix The Fixer is remove the instafail conditions and just let you kill the target and retrieve the diamonds whenever you want. In the ET Arcade they removed the conditions for The Chameleon where you needed to kill him in a non-explosion accident and they didn’t do anything to change the briefing video.
