That’s very kind, but I haven’t been a Regular in years, and I know there’s others who deserve it more than me.
I just clicked your profile photo to see what the new image was and your description about selling water, paired with your Herald status, made me think of Quantum’s conspiracy to control water resources in Quantum of Solace. In an IO universe where Bond and 47 are in the same world and Providence and Quantum/Spectre are two sides of the same coin, my new head canon is you’re Dominic Greene’s replacement on that project ![]()
I would like to maintain that my profile description was written before I became a Herald and is my actual day job since I work at a water brokerage firm.
You can also see it on the New Profile Picture/Name Chanbe 2.0 thread. I change it on the first or first week of every month (usually).
Huh, I didn’t even know you could trade futures contracts in water ![]()
Ah, just seen it
I’ll look out for the next instalment!
In my country you have been able to since the Eighties, there are only three other countries that have water trading schemes like ours (Iran, Chile and South Africa, no counting that water entitlements also exist solely in the western United States).
Ohhh my mistake, I thought you meant high frequency trading on an exchange like futures contracts on the commodity market, like corn or coffee
I see it’s closer to buying and selling water rights in countries where such rights aren’t automatically state-owned.
I have many questions, particularly around the logistics side of it, but I won’t derail this thread ![]()
Thanks everyone. ![]()
I’m genuinely touched by it.
I’m grateful to have found the forum.
It’s a good place.
(now to go and use my re-found powers to update the ET dates)
It’s the thing that gets you the thing. ![]()

Hey Landirt, why don’t you have the pin in your photo?
They do now
they had to get the thing to get them the thing to have that thing in their photo.
I truly hate that Constant line with a burning passion, it makes him sound so dumb after the stellar writing in Season 1 ![]()
That’s true. However their title is gone now. Having some trouble figuring out the new configurations probably ![]()
I didn’t even remember the existence of that line, it is truly bizarre indeed.
Late to the party, but that’s a cool idea, didn’t know it was a thing. Congrats to the winners, totally deserved!
