Hopefully you don’t need to make a “they promised to do better, then failed at the first chance to demonstrate it” video.
I show up on here seeing “They’ll probably release the roadmap on the 12th, ah well, guess we have to wait”
Then I realise it’s already the 11th (for me in the midddle of the night oops)
How is it already the 11th?? Wow, just gotta wait one more day, and then, boom, hopefully roadmap of stuff?
Good stuff? Bad stuff? No stuff? Blue stuff? We’ll see!
Let’s hope so. I said the company’s behaviour gotten on my nerves and I mean it.
Still, we’ll get some news soon in a few hours. Hopefully actual patchnotes, and not just a confirmation as I don’t see the benefit in keeping such things a secret the day, heck the week, before an update releases.
The Twitter includes pictures of the upcoming Drop DLC items:
The Club Boom DJ Suit:
The Club Boom 12" Vinyl Sampler:
The Club Boom 12" Flightcase:
Not sure what the Vinyl Sampler is, an audio distraction?
The patch notes also contains the folloig informations for the next roadmap:
New Challenges
September 12th – Electric Trilogy
Make sparks fly when eliminating three specific targets to unlock a new weapon
October 14th – Adding Fuel to the Fire
Reignite the flame with this mission in order to unlock a new weapon
October 31st – True Fan
Choose the right outfit to complete your mission in order to add it to your collection
November 15th – Surgical Procedure
Apply the right treatment to your targets to unlock a new outfit
October 31st – The Mills Reverie
Free Starter Players will be able to enjoy a spooky return to The Mills Reverie, where they will stalk poor Orson Mills in his dreams across three stages. Explore a nightmarish version of Hawke’s Bay and haunt Orson Mills’ night from the 31st of October to the 14th of November.
Elusive Targets
Another round of Elusive Targets will be back, ready to be taken out! From October 18th till December 8th, a total of five different Elusive Targets will run in succession:
October 18th – November 10th: The Undying
October 18th – October 27th: The Chameleon and The Ascensionist
November 1st – November 10th: The Surgeons
November 8th – November 18th: The Entertainer
For rewards for the challenges, I predict:
Electric Trilogy - Proximity Micro Taser
Adding Fuel to the Fire - Oil Canister
True Fan - Super Fan
Surgical Procedure - Plague Doctor
(I cheated by looking at the Challenge Ideas thread)
From the challenge idea topic:
The two wespons/items one are original though.
There’s also the challenge from BlobSponge:
Given that the hint they gave for Electric Trilogy is that you need to electrocute three targets and the image shows Haven Island, chances are it’s this challenge under a different name.
The Adding Fuel to the Fire one is tougher, but given its title and the fact that three different people had a challenge idea for unlocking the Oil Canister that were very similar (myself included), it’s probably the Oil Canister.
If it is, I am curious on how it’s selectable in the normal loadout screen. Is it in briefcase only, or can it be brought by itself, already in 47 hand.
Also, I’m still hoping for some new new items later on.
But pipeline and whatnot.
Those ones a good, don’t get me wrong, much better choices. Interseting ones. And there are a few more legacy ones that could continue this streak.
But I’m still holding for the RFID, the EMP, a lure, and my habitual ICA19 ClassicStriker.
(as a tentative aside: am I the only one who thinks the way communication about feedback kinda smells like Year 5 is a go?)
The white yukata will finally be mine!
I bet briefcase only, under the explosives tab.
Better patch than last time (not that the bar was set high - or anywhere at all really…). Good news is the Paris intro/outro is back, but the main highlight is that Ambrose has been moved into proper place in the campaign tab!
Still, it´s a bit disappointing that bugfixes were basically just aimed at Sgail and Safehouse.
And still waiting for my ninja disguise…
If it’s not this, we riot.
If it is this, we rejoice.
My guess is it’ll be categorized as one of those large melee items (swords, bats, etc). You can, after all, use the jugs to bonk people in the head.
One unlock I’d really like is the torch. Would love to bring that into the levels that don’t have one already. (Including the Mills Reverie, which has the worst lighting in the game…)
I am so curious about this vinyl sampler… will it be a cool unique item, or a reskin of a desperately situational one? These DLC packs are all reskins (for the super fans!) so that’s what I’m betting.
Ah, damn. I was hoping for a gloved variant of the Haven outfit.
Will wearing this suit make you impervious to poisonous gas, say for example if you fumigate Nolan Cassidy’s house, or if you drop a blue egg and stand still in the fumes?
