Autumn/Fall (2025) Roadmap Speculation

Also agree that WoA will still be pro-active.
IOI looks like they want to be a multi-titles studio.

I also think that the fomo-based ET centric course of WoA has runs its course.
And will soon be more of a burden than a positive.

It’s main appeal is that it maintains the player base, and a background presence in the gaming landscape; to sell DLCs and good numbers for presentation. Both essential to IOI latest release.

The negative is that it’s a bummer to newcomers by giving them greyed out careers.
And the agreement on the latest celebrET were dragged down by being elusive, and not bonus missions.

So I could see it being moved on for a more welcoming to unboarding version of the live game.

Does anyone know how’s going that co-op they’ve showed in July? I haven’t heard of it for a while…

Given that the footage they showed was from a previously shelved co-op mode from the H2-era, its probably a long ways off.

My original thinking was that IOI could potentially close off major game updates/roadmaps for the WOA 10 year anniversary in March next year. I kind of tied that into IOI’s statement from a while ago stating that content for WOA is rapidly slowing down, but who knows, we may even get a full Year 6 worth of content :slightly_smiling_face:

Aside from year three, H:WoA has had something new every year. Personally, I’m fine with anything, but I would have preferred a proper year of QoL, that was supposed to be year three and in some ways, it ended up worse than before. I prefer a game to be as clean and polished as possible, but I don’t think it’s that easy to achieve, especially for a game that relies on live service content.

I know this is Fall, but finally the last summer elusive target is available through 21st

The Surgeons , we don’t have much to do lately so atleast this is something

Anyway, my load out

equip lock pick, krugermeier. 3 electronic hacker and for pickup hidden stash in bathroom where the guy takes shower. The Durian

Make your way to the morgue and take the level 2 guard outfit and erase camera.

then use hack and free smith and get the master keycard

Then get the hemorrhage syringes 2x

head up the girl on first hospital floor, when no one looking, inject her.

then head to get Durian and then to bathroom before restaurant near the security room, get the patient disquise, many level 2 NPC are in restaurant.

then near stairs, the last target talks to a level 1 security guard. Throw Durian at feet

both go downstairs to bathroom and patient disquise is allowed.

Then inject target once alone and leave, a guy does come in fast so be gone after injection. I took the cable car exit

Easy SA

The With the release date for 007 set, it feels like the HITMAN WoA updates are nearing their end.
So, I thought up a few new fictional game modes that could be added before the final HITMAN WoA update.
Of course, this is just wishful thinking, but I’d be thrilled if they actually implemented it.

<Campaign Randomizer Mode>
・A mode incorporating a randomizer into the campaign.
・Keeps the campaign mission targets unchanged,
but randomly generates the assassination method, outfit, and 1-4 restrictions.
・Items like screwdrivers and crowbars placed on stages
have their locations randomized.
・Most NPC behavior routines remain unchanged, but all NPC outfits are randomized.
For example, two security guards patrolling the second-floor corridor of the Paris catwalk
could keep their routine but switch to palace staff and chef outfits.

<Elusive Target Arcade Contract>
・A mode allowing creation of original arcade stages.
・The creator selects 3 or 5 Elusive Targets from the pool, matching the stage count.
・The creator determines each target’s assassination method, attire, and options.
・Up to 4 additional sub-targets can be added from NPCs within the stage.

<Freelancer Contract>
・A mode allowing contracts to be created under Freelancer rules.
・Territory Take Down missions are the base rule.
・The contract creator decides the Syndicate type, stage, payout object, prestige object, and whether to enable/disable alert territories.
・No safes or suppliers.
・Items brought into the mission are selected from those already collected by the creator in normal Freelancer mode.
Players start the mission equipped with the same items brought by the creator.
・Items on the stage, appearing NPCs, and weapons carried by security NPCs are identical to Freelancer mode.
・Stash placement during the mission is optional, with up to 5 locations possible (the first 5 stash locations opened during creation are recorded and placed as-is, though contents are random).
・Rankings are determined by clear time and reward amount.

<Freelancer Ghost Mode>
・Ghost Mode incorporating Freelancer rules.
・Comprises two parts: Territory Takedown in the first half and Showdown in the second half.
Players choose one of the following three options:
Short: 5-minute first half, 4 suspects in the second half
Medium: 10-minute first half, 6 suspects in the second half
Long: 15-minute second half, 9 suspects in the second half
If different durations are chosen, one is randomly selected.
・Players each select a stage.
If different stages are chosen, one is randomly selected.
・In the first half Territory Take Down, assassinate Syndicate members as they appear
without leaving bodies behind.
・Each undiscovered assassination grants one piece of intel on the Showdown Leader’s appearance, behavior, or affiliated group.
Quickly eliminating many members in the first half grants a significant advantage in the second half.
・The game transitions to the Showdown Mode in the second half once the time limit expires.
・In the second half, players use the intel gathered in the first half to identify and assassinate the leader.
The player who identifies and assassinates the leader first, then escapes, wins.
・Similar to the old Ghost Mode, there are Ghost Items that can hinder opponents.
・Crates randomly spawn either weapons or three Freelancer Tools, and players can obtain one item from the spawn.

They have 2 more celebrity targets for fall winter.

I don’t think it’s the end of WOA. I believe content will exist in 26

in addition to your notes,

I’d like to see Sarajevo six, expand to 21

I mean it has to, we have the big 10-year WOA anniversary in March next year! IOI will definitely be celebrating that, even if that’s the big payoff and we don’t get any major roadmaps after that, we’re still getting at least some content in 2026 :slightly_smiling_face:

What’s in IO for next year tho? More celebrity ET’s? Another reruns of same ET’s we’ve already had? They probably won’t even bother with mixing it by adding ET’s that didn’t run for a while.

EDIT: Oh yeah, they’ve promised co-op. That will probably take them a while.

Or they can scrap and wrap all the promises regarding this one.
Not for the first time. So I won’t be surprised

For the upcoming autumn roadmap, I’m not expecting anything huge, outside of the obligatory CelebrET, the Halloween decor, PCVR improvements and some challenges spread out weeks apart.

Oh and old ET’s to fill in the gaps in the schedule.

I really hope the unlocks are better this time around, because they’ve not been that great for a while. It’s a bad state of affairs when the Twitch unlocks have been more interesting than the in-game ones (Paid or otherwise).

My expectations are going to be a bit low, since I expect it will only be a ~two month roadmap (assuming the last CelebrET comes early December).

1x New CelebrET
2-3x FC batches
1x Twitch Drop
2x Challenges/unlocks
5x Standard ETs
and a F2P on the Halloween escalation.

I don’t really want them to. I love the idea, even tho I have no idea how it will work. Please IO, don’t let it die like you did with Ghost Mode.

If they do a Year 6, maybe 2026 could have a multiplayer theme and they bring GM back?

Assuming co-op has matchmaking, it’d be a little weird if they didn’t bring it back (and multiplayer Sniper Assassin).

I hope for an official implementation of Roulette with matchmaking :folded_hands: (never happening, I know)

We’d sooner get the Butcher suit.

They’ll be going big for the 10-year WOA anniversary in March I’m guessing, but for after that, who knows? We never know, that could indeed be the big swan song for content to be fair, aside for Co-Mode further down the line, but I guess we’ll see.

My guts telling me another round of

The undying is lurking

Since this has partly turned into kind of a Wishlist Thread as well, I might as well add to the mix that I would really like new Map Variations for Contract Mode.

This would also breath some new life into the mode, especially considering FCs are still a big part of the Roadmap, besides the point that there plenty of things for IO to pick from such as Special Assignments, Berlin Egg Hunt or maybe even Romania.
