I found this particular bit interesting:
“Solving problems with violence is not viable most of the time. Enemies in this campaign are not pushovers. The city is guarded by medium sized groups. Players need to use their grey matter. … Less combat more emphasis on hijinks. Players usually learn how to implicate or frame their enemies… The campaign emphasizes Investigation, Mystery Solving, and Social Interaction.”
If IOI are still in that phase where they are looking for something new, multiplayer focused, and possibly still plays to their strengths in building Social Stealth playgrounds, Waterdeep’s Sword and Sorcery based Social Intrigue system can be a good template.
The campaign only launched in Q4 2018.
