Dartmoor Garden Show

I like to think that 47 is spending the year apart from Diana (and Olivia, too, I guess) to find himself so he can become the enlightened gentleman, who learned to (almost) smile for the first time, we see in the epilogue scene. The sins are his inner struggle and the Garden Show (and maybe/hopefully other future mission/escalation things) are just him finding himself in the real world on his own without anyone’s guidance or assistance.

Even if this isn’t exactly the case, a story reason could be that he’s flying solo and, being without a handler, there’s nobody to give a briefing. It obviously takes place after Hitman 3 but whether it’s before or after 47 and Diana reunite is up for a bit of debate. I like to think it’s before and he’s trying to figure out his life and who he is as a real human person and he wandered into a garden show because he did try to be a gardener that one time a couple decades ago.

I also like to think that 47, just wandering into the show without a handler, tries to just enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and the variety of gardens like a normal human but picks a favorite and can’t quite stop himself from killing 5 people to help make sure they win.

Yeah I think they wanted some variation in target loop, and her dialogue is just the reasoning for why she’s wandering around that area of the map. Shame, missed opportunity for something elaborate.

Red squirrels. On Dartmoor…

It took me ages to find the fourth one by the boat.

Actually, I do have one more thought after sleeping on it; the staff area of the house, kitchen, changing room etc, should have been accessible. I doubt all those swanky rich folk would lower themselves to using a port-a-potty. It seems stranger to me that the living/sitting room is accessible but not the staff area.

Aaah, but the implication is that it is there for the VIP judges, or possibly just Sato. He always comes across as a bit of a drama queen, so I can imagine him refusing to be a judge unless he was given a private room with no Tchaikovsky and a huge array of tempting nibbles.

 You make a very good point.

We know that the client is randomised each time, but does each client always have the same accomplice? I ask because, whenever I’ve got the Arab gardener as a client, Lucy Phillips is his accomplice.

I don’t think so. The first two times I played, the contestant I got was Ken but the second time he wanted Cornelia dead instead of working with her like the first time.

It’s just that it’s not a full level. We all just want a bonus mission like AHBOS, Icon, Landslide, or the Patient Zero levels.

The mission is randomised but isn’t it weird how Lucy Phillips wants to kill Cornelia? Or is it just the client that wants her dead and Lucy is spared since she is in favour of the client?

I really like the escalation. My problem is that I created two contracts for the Danger! Danger! & Cocoh No! challenges and when I played my contracts I did not get credit for the challenges. :frowning:

Icon and Landslide aren’t full levels

Neither is House Built on Sand, technically.

Yes, I think it’s more that one. Although I’m not sure they’re exactly friends anyway. They’re friendly, sure, but it’s hard to tell how friendly in Dubai because Cornelia is a bit preoccupied and wants to be left alone and Lucy is one those people who can’t take hints and won’t go away.

That said, I don’t think either of them would knowingly and intentionally try to kill the other (even if Lucy might push her luck with Cornelia sometimes), rather one judge is just in cahoots with the client to give them the grand prize; targeting the other contestants and 2 of the judges is more the client’s way of ensuring the win. Exactly how much of the client’s backup plan the solo judge is actually aware of is up for debate, however

Update: It’s just as I expected. In order to get the challenges you have to do them in the escalation. So, for Danger! Danger! I had to eliminate each contestant, which meant some restarts, and one of the judges. Luckily, Sato was my target so I used the microphone on him.

By full I meant with a briefing and a story and not an escalation.

Oh if you are wondering Danger! Danger! is a reference to this…

Sorry to intrude, but what is a static NPC? I was reading the thread and my head doesn’t work, I followed Cornelia Stuyvesant for an hour so I’m fried.

Any NPC that doesn’t have a route and stays in one spot.
