This is a Discovery Challenge now 19th in the Challenges Tab in the discovery section
53 Hacks, every Hack must be scanned with your camera, your map will let you know what’s left as you scan. You have to get every dongle 1,2,3
Don’t forget the one outside by special entrance that would take you to level 1 security. Some hacks open the same door from each side counting as 2 hacks
You must also Eliminate Both targets and play the Main mission End of an Era. Because Hack 53 is the exit and you won’t be able to scan it till both targets are down, also for any new players who play the main mission you have to defeat the level first then replay the mission so you have the option to skip the core of erasing the files
I suppose you could do this on a side mission but I prefer the main mission because you get to save your progress in case something goes wrong. I also recommend playing on casual mode , but if you prefer higher difficulty I would remove cameras in hush building first
Then on any level going forward I went to the roof and shot the 5 drones down to eliminate both targets on the lotus passage.
Then I made my way to the core and began all 53 hacks.
once completed you will be rewarded with a Level 4 Dongle, on any load out on any mission all though it will take up a gear slot once equipped in the game on any map/ mission you’re camera will hack anything electronic.
Cameras, camera recorders, anything, radios, I’m trying to think what else but you get the idea.
I checked the map and had 2. The exit and one door I had already opened from the other side. Yet, I was still missing… 4 or 5.
Then noticed some of the windows that can be darkened have 2 scannable interfaces, but will not show up on your map.
As for the item itself, I’ve only been able to “hack” CCTV systems. Not cameras, and not doors.
Then again, I only replayed Chongqing with the item in my inventory. Note: it will not show up where you have weapons and gear, but in the inventory tab, where you might see things like keys or intel items, etc.
They are marked on the map, but when you scan one of the two linked panels - the icon clears. So best practice for anyone reading this that hasn’t done the challenge yet is to scan a panel and check for a second one before moving on.
Second this. I missed the one on the outside of the woman in the vetting office near the analyst start (with the roaming analyst and a guard inside. Only scanned the one in her office and had to search for almost 20 minutes for the last one.
Remember Hack 53 itself is the exit door. So make sure you have 52 before doing that one.
look at your map, look at all 3 levels and it will guide you to what you missed. Don’t forget the one outside at the special entrance. lot of people forget that one.
The Frosted glass, some have 2 side by side, all the TV’s, some have 2 on the same door on each side.
But as you follow the map and scan each one will disappear and the map will show you what’s left.
The frosted glass ones, even though I got 1, the 2nd one would not appear on the map after 1 of them had been scanned/hacked. So it’s just a matter of knowing/remembering that there are usually 2 things for the frosted/tinted glass. It seems pointless to ‘redarken’ the glass when you’ve already done it, which is why it’s natural not to think to do the other one, but (obviously) it’s not about that.
The funny thing is that they tried to be helpful with this one, where if you restart you don’t lose progress. But in this case because there are so many panels, it just means you have no idea what you’ve got left to scan.
Make sure you scanned both panels for darkened glass. For me the last ones were the Core room doors, I had to reload a save because Olivia locks them if you go in after killing Imogen and Hush.
i thought it was a fun challenge … it occupied me for a while as i didn’t go on the internet to find out where they all were … yes, it was difficult to find them all, but that was the challenge … it was like trying to collect all 35 commemorative coins in sgail or deflating all those inflatable crocodiles in sapienza or haven … or what about that elephant shooting thing in Bangkok … i’m glad IOI is going back to this kind of thing … maybe next they can have one where you have to unlock every door in hokkaido … or sabotage every sabotageable toilet in the entire trilogy
