Still thinking what or if I do something. Legacy ETs are not that fancy.

That was like a patch they made in Hitman 2, because they were aware of the disconnect trick. Believe me, it’s been there for ages.

Well we did… for one month. RIP Druzhina

Fun fact, one month is also the amount of time required to grind the Druzhina unlock

Could you do them in vr?

That’s good to hear. If failing players because they got disconnected was one of the changes they were talking about it, then it would be a very bad decision. On Xbox, I have an excellent internet connection, but I can barely go 30 minutes without getting a disconnection. Their servers are just not up to supporting the current player base. I could be wrong, but I suspect this is the reason so many of us currently have broken achievements/trophies. Getting constant disconnects at critical points with in-game coding that expects a constant state of connection do not mix well.

Got a bit too arrogant and was spotted several times and wasn’t hunted twice. Still managed to pull it off.

Turning The Politician and The Guru into a single target and making them connected to each other was a good idea and made this a lot more interesting.

I sadly didn’t get SA but I still finished the job. So yea basically I killed 2 old men in Italy. Not bad.

First time doing this ET. Used an remote emetic device in a briefcase on Richard and pacified Anthony’s bodyguards before distracting him and killing him on his way back from the cellar.

It’s a shame that it’s not repeatable because there’s a couple of different methods I would’ve liked to try.

Almost got spotted by that wig guy. I used the sieker (which is a bit cheap imo) but I didn’t really want to spend too much time on this.
I was also really confused by the missing car exit.

And definitely shoulda started with an easier one for newbies. And the fact that it was in a legacy map, something newer players might not have.

I really thought Faba was a good one for new players in Hitman 2. It was one of the rare times Diana helped and the opportunity system came into play.

Alright so the Deceivers is a great ET and a good choice for if you want to bring one back for the cycle. It’s in Sapienza, so new players who buy the access pass don’t have to learn a level too far into the previous game in order to play it. It’s also in a level they’ll probably love anyway. I don’t mind no new unlocks, but I wish a formula change was implemented to make it replayable without rankings and to move all location specific suits to mastery. But oh well.

What I am worried about is if this means no new ETs in the new maps. If this is the case this is AWFUL news. You can’t advertise ETs as a returning mode if there’s no content that’s actually new. Then you should just make them special assignments instead. If the formula doesn’t continue to H3 levels then ETs aren’t a part of H3, they’re obsolete. It’s like making challenge packs for Himmelstein.

I’m going to give a benefit of a doubt and say maybe this is to prepare the first ET of the new cycle. The Forger came out in May 2016 after all. But if there’s no new ET in at the very latest May of this year then the game mode is essentially dead and IO is admitting with what would be new suits being part of H3 mastery, with this rerun ET and with moving away from them to doing escalations that the mode isn’t worth supporting and should be killed.

If the mode is truly just going to be old ETs: no Mumbai, Dubai, Dartmoor, Berlin, China, Mendoza or additional Miami, Colombia, Whittleton ETs. Then it shouldn’t exist. The idea of ETs is to be a new experience. One time only. When they’re gone they’re gone. IO have clearly gone back on that four times now. 2016 had 26, Hitman 2 had 20 less than that, which is understandable since they were working on the DLC but now they have 2 studios, have recouped their budget in a week, have only 5 maps to work with instead of 6-8 and aren’t working on more. We should get at least 12 original ETs, ideally 26 excluding new Legacy ETs since some maps are really difficult to get the suits on (Colombia, Colorado) and I don’t see this as “entitlement”. IO charge us a lot more for the upkeep of this series while delivering less content than the last entry per transaction.

Not just that, but I hope a factor for the reduced number of H2 ET’s due to them deciding to focus on creating them Hitman 3 Legacy levels instead.

I remember someone from IO mentioning that the Pharmacist needed some work for the 2nd activation, since one of the updates that came in between was causing some issues. I’d assume there’s some work involved making Legacy Elusive Targets compatible with future releases. Plus I imagine the voice acting isn’t cheap either.

Hopefully now that we’re on H3’s engine, they go back and add a few more elusive targets to H2.

I do like that the challenges are already unlocked since I can get a bit spicier and not worry about missing a challenge. I’ll still have to get 5 SA’s at some point but I’m sure the easier one target elusives will get me there eventually.

If anyone is gonna play Decievers, here’s a tip for Congressman’s bodyguards - they act as VIP bodyguards, and will call for another guard to pick up weapons they spot. BUT, they are not coded to react same way if they spot a briefcase. So, you can get rid of both Trout’s bodyguards using briefcase.

I plan on KOing a lot of guards for my elaborate kill so this is good to know :+1:
