Well it wasn’t as complex as last time.
I really don’t have the time for it.
So it was Poison, Cake, Waiting, Exit, Silent Assassin, moving on.
It did took him to go to the kitchen twice, both time after talking with the waiter twice before, before he tasted the cake. It was long.
As a reminder, this was previous attent (because hey, it was the first time I had tried to do something extra because I was thinking of the forum while doing it, it’s a fond memory)
Yes. I regret not putting in on video. But at the time I had just found a way to take good image and did not know how to set a usb, record, cut, and send to imgur.
But, if I remember correctly this was my third attempt at doing this wise setup.
The first time, I was caught while I was running around with the extinguishers. By the head manager if I remember correctly. I never fully got her route.
The second attempt was beautiful. The gas flasks, the extinguishers, the ICA Remote Micro Taser, the Target, everything was in place. And then, the button press, the noise, the explosions, the “everyone is panicking”, the guards have their weapons drawn. Everything was perfect.
Except that the Target was not eliminated. No, he was merely knocked out.
In hindsight, I think he was caught first in an extinguisher explosion, knocking him out and sending him away from the (lethal) gas flask explosion. Or the primer flask was too far away.
I’ve found a really funny way to kill him if you have an emetic mine.
Basically just put it into a briefcase, WAIT for the waiter to have his usual banter with him and throw the briefcase between them and immediately activate it to increase your chances to get the waiter sick first.
The reason for having to use it on both of them is because that way you can mess with the AI and send the waiter to the bin in the kitchen (which is the default location where they go when sick while being there) while the critic goes all the way to your suite to puke in your toilet, giving you a free drowning elimination (with the bodyguard still distracted by the briefcase).
There he goes. Originally, I just wanted to run next to him and blow him up with propane and breaching charge, but then was like - I can do better than that. And then I didn’t…
Anyway, I used the fact that his bodyguard is an enforcer in kitchen, and Wen himself aswell. Luring them eventually wasn’t a big problem, but yeah, EVENTUALLY.
Still a decent kill for me.
@47Agent wonder what meme you could make since the food critic has been reactivated with what stuff you’ve seen so far including with me propane flasking him.
Does anyone know if he truly only goes for the cake once, or will he go for it again after a while if you wait for him to cycle through the kitchen a few more times?
Not the worst ET I guess, but a pretty lame one, since he only sits in one spot and does nothing besides going down to the kitchen once, which is really tedious to wait. At first I came up with propane flasking him as a waiter, but it seemed too boring for me, so I found a more elegant yet still pretty simple approach. I was debating whether I want to do it in Hitman 1 style considering its limitations, or use a prettier, more suitable briefcase. Chose the latter one, but taking the gun from the Storage Room pickup (empty room left from my firing position) would be just as easy.
That’s a lot of bullshit, it totally wasn’t easy. A million times I regretted I came up with this stupid idea while running to the boat, my hands were shaking and my heart was bursting out. I wasn’t even sure it gonna work since I didn’t check if the white guard gonna hear the bullet impact, although I did measure how long it takes for the bodyguard to stash a weapon and return, how fast I can get to the escape and how often does the waiter come to the table. Ended up getting a lot of satisfaction from the run, however.
Got the prick, and did what I once thought was impossible: I poisoned the cake in a SASO run. Back in H1, I had believed that you couldn’t poison the cake, or that you could but he never ate it, whichever it was. Then by H2, when I knew that wasn’t true, I refused to use a disguise since nothing that can put poison on the cake without suspicion has gloves, and didn’t see any means of sneaking into that kitchen without being spotted. Well, this time I went for it, and found that with the right timing, it is delightfully easy to sneak to that cake. The issue is poisoning it without the kitchen boss spotting you. That brings me to the one part I’m not happy with, as I had to use the Sieker-1 to get him away, but now that I know it’s possible to do without a disguise, I can try it in Arcade mode and maybe use a coin to distract him instead. Either way, finally got this motherfucker in the manner he deserves.
You can poison the cake by timing it perfectly when he moves his head to right side while he is on the phone for a suit only version. You don’t need any distractions, no coins, no emetics etc etc. I’m currently uploading gameplay. But it is very time specific as you have to the reach the cake unseen first
That’s no problem. I can get to the cake unseen. I just need to know the exact moment. It also has to be when the other chef to the right of the cake if looked at from the kitchen office room is looking the other way.
Poison The Cake unseen/undetected with all the Chefs present. Timing has to be perfect & it can only be done when the Head Chef is on the phone & his head turning movements during his conversation for this method to work.
They have added an extra Chef in this mission now (last time I did this, he never appeared) when the “Food Critic” arrives in the kitchen, so I left early, read a newspaper for a bit & then relaxed on the sun bed until the kill was confirmed.
