Alright, the Rage.
This ET reminded me of the Heartbreaker : the target has a difficult to work on base routine with seemingly no real opportunities (with the exception of the ICA remote micro taser,Chongqing have a lot of puddles) but some story and social manipulation exists to bring the target out and just next to accidents prompts.
And it was my favourite ET for my social gameplay loving self, so this one also is (even better I would even say).

(at least by what I could find, the fighting ring is in the backcourt of the Arcade and this whole area of the map was reworked. I do not know if an opportunity and a story mission like script is present here, I hope so)

I’m also getting more and more used to seeing reworked routines and areas. I’m going to start to feel entitled to them IOI, careful .

I ended up doing the scripted route. I followed the target to his dealer. Then I followed the dealer to her apartment, where I sent an email back to the target.
This apartment is as usual gorgeously lit, glad to see it more used beyond document stealing (and the I guess rarely triggered moment when Angus Pritchard goes there).

Don’t mind the sedative in the bottle, it was already there when I came in, promise. Not at all a plan in motion.

The target goes to the fake meeting and then just walks next to a lot of hazards. In my case it was an unfortunate case of spontaneous combustion. A shame, and some strange mystical accident.

I’m curious to see what can be done with the target when he is training in his basement. I haven’t really seen it outside of instinct mode. Is there something like a bench press with a spotter prompt from the Haven Island level we could use to strangle him ?

I also remember Clemens_IOI asking what was the most iconic part of Chongqing where I answered like everyone that it was the neon streets but unfortunately nothing in the normal level made you explore and observe it and not just run between the two enclosed forteresses.
This ET made me do that, and I savoured it because of that.

Between this and Night Candle Lit Dartmoor in the Wrath escalation, this roadmap will now be my Lighting Designers Appreciation Month.

Out of nowhere, I tried going for a SASONKO run, I poisoned the 2 bodyguards and the 1 fighter in the basement, fiber wired Sully, but before I could leave, the first bodyguard I poisoned came back and I had to ditch the SO part of the run. Still got away with SA and no knockouts, but still.

Briefing’s out

This isn’t the most creative run, but I thought I would play it safe this time round.

This was quite an average ET in my opinion, and the briefing wasn’t as strong as some of the prior targets. However, I may have enjoyed it more if I spent some time listening to the dialogue and following the target’s path.

The fifteenth one of my ‘SASO No KO No Emetics Fiber Wire’ on Elusive Targets series.
The exit involves a crazy and very lucky escape.

The return of the king ! Bookkeeper was just a fluke indeed.

That peekaboo-dropped weapon-knee shot to avoid body finding is just a masterpiece.

While I’m at it.

If like me you are trying to do a No Loadout, Poison Kill with the coke opportunity, you might wish to know beforehand that the lethal poison vial normally found in the Block Lab was removed for this ET.

I do not know if lethal poison can be found elsewhere (moved item specifically for this ET) or not.

The vial was slighlty move to the patient, thanks @Kent for the indication.
The vial is still a bit harder to reach if you are not in the right disguise compared to the usual map placement.

So Diana can actually pronounce Chongqing correctly unlike others. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Can’t agree more…that’s why I like Diana…

This is wrong. It’s just been moved… like two meters to the patient who is sitting behind the regular placement.

Edit:
I kind of hated this ET. For me, first impressions is everything for ET:s, and in this my first impression was as follows:

  • Oh, the place I’ve smuggled in stuff to is where the target is hanging out.
  • Oh, it’s beeing guarded by Street Guards, I’ll go get a disguise
  • Street Guard disguise does not gain you access to place guarded by Street Guards(!!!) :rage:
  • Go the long way around to fetch my stuff.
  • Find my stuff in a briefcase underneath a new shelf that blocks me from accessing it (!!!) :rage:

I restarted with a kalmer and sieker in my loadout and did a cheap run. All of my patience had been spent. .

Is there a way for him to go to the woman’s apartment?

Well, serves me right for not using instinct on this profile…
Thanks for the indication though

(seriously I ran and searched the whole block, even went to the dealer apartment in case it was a thematic change, which would have made more sense. I’m blind sometimes)

I think they deny the entry no matter what disguise you’re wearing, they’re broken as fuck. You have to take another route and that pretty much ruins this ET.

Yeah, I noticed that I’m not trespassing once I’m inside, but all (or at least a lot) of the NPCs inside are enforcers for the disguise. It just felt pointless.

Snuck in the backway to the drug room in my suit and just went nuts with the sieker / kalmer in order to isolate him for a fiber wiring and fucked off.

The block guard disguise has less enforcers. Gun luring also seems broken because many NPC:s including the target don’t usually notice the weapons. Usually, because sometimes it works. What a mess.

due to my physical health not being the best and this headache causing me to constantly lose focus, ive decided to go for a much easier kill than drowning him in the data core. poisoned cocaine is cool too right?
