Seems like it happened nice and easy this time around.
You guyās got a duck for this? I bought/played it originally, and just played the rerun yesterday, and I havenāt got a duck. :[
Give it 48 hours and itāll show up in your IO account if youāve played the ET re-run and/or the Arcade contract since the 25th.
They introduced doing CelebrET-themed ducks with Eminem in December. The Undying didnāt get one in February though (maybe theyāre saving it for the second activation in the Fall?).
I did the ā47 fights for Leeā thing for the first time today. Is he meant to magically be unpoisoned if you do one round of fighting for him? Are we just meant to assume he went off and found his own antidote while we were fighting?
I think the idea is that the poison wears off by the time 47 is done fighting for him. Since itās just meant to weaken, not kill, stands to reason its effect would be only good for a limited time, in-universe. Gameplay-wise, after you fight for him once, however long that takes you, heās then good to go.
The poison wears off for any contestant after one round, regardless of whether or not they fought during that round.
I believe the description for the poison does specify that itās short-lasting, yeah.
⦠Yeah, I messed up again. Things really donāt do go my way lately, particularly in CelebETs. Itās a fail streak already: The Undying, The Harbinger and now this.
TL;DW: The idea was 4 SASONKO fiber wire kills with default loadout. Last year I recorded an ETA run like this, but this time I wanted it to look a bit cleaner, with more dialogues and less awkward waiting. What I got is the opposite - some of it was poor planning, and some - really bad luck.
Garroted Chau and Hu as planned, because I could restart - Chau in his office, Hu lured with coins to the back of the coat check or whatever this place is.
When it comes to Zen, in my practice runs I slipped into his room on his way out (he opens the door outwards, blocking the door guardās view, so you can just rush in), waited for him there and dealt with him when he came back. On the real deal I was like ānah, itās too long and awkward to wait for the entire loopā, and decided to do it like last year - coin trap him into the Dragon Headās room when he (Zen) runs towards the stairs. What I didnāt take into account is that last year I went for the kills sooner, skipping all the exposition fluff, so the timings were different.
I sneak into the room by distracting the bouncer at the door with a coin, and wait. Wu walks in first - the bodyguard goes to stash the Baller I planted for him and I strangling the old man like I planned - from now on itās a point of no return. Placing coins in a line for Zen to notice and start waiting, expecting him show up sooner than the bodyguard who went to stash the piece.
But he wouldnāt show up. Maybe I missed him somehow, but most likely he was just fighting at the tournament at the time. Shouldāve either go to his room first like I practiced, or skip all the introduction stuff like last year.
The bodyguard returns first and starts looking for his boss. I think maybe heāll give up and settle down after a while, but hell no he doesnāt. Like an obedient lapdog he is, he wanders around the floor and calls out to his master for the rest of the mission. He randomly enters Wuās room sometimes, which adds a lot of tension, but itās not like heās there all the time, so I thought that catching Zen in my coin trap is still a viable strat. Well, it couldāve been, but not with my luck - the son of a bitch had walk in AT THE WORST TIME POSSIBLE! I mean, just look at this shit at 22:15 - he leaves the room, and here comes Zen - should be a perfect timing for the move, right? I prepare the trap, Zen takes the bait, I ready my wire, and what I see is the motherfucker walking back to us, towards the room he came out of not a minute ago. Can you believe this? Stands beside Zen exactly when he shouldāve been isolated for a clean kill.
So Iām trapped in the corner behind the door where Iāll be surely caught as soon as that asshole turns around. The only way out is the door to the hallway, so I donāt have much choice but to leave the room. All my coins are gone too - all wasted on a failed trap, so now the plan B - slip into Zenās and wait for him there. Itās actually risky after the point of no return, but what else can I do? So I wait till Zen enters and leaves his room, but the patrolling guard inconveniently walked up - that maneuver doesnāt work when heās watching. I keep waiting for the next loop, but then realize itās the end of the tournament already - Leeās poisoned and about to fight Zen in the finals!
Screw the fiber wire, luckily I took Xiaoās key card after I killed her, so I rush for the antidote in her room. On my way downstairs I panic, accidentally run into a trespassing zone for a moment and lose my SA just like that (yes, after all the close calls this had to be the reason). Managed to give Lee his cure right before the fight, and while he takes care of Zen himself, went to the guard room to retrieve my Baller, and to the pier exit wrap up this shitshow of an ET run.
Dang it, the post turned out to be long as hell. Guess no oneās reading it through, but whatever.
@IOI_Artjoms heads-up. Same issue as before track suit duck isnāt being rewarded again. Completed the Bruce Lee contract on Switch 2. ![]()
p.s did allow 48 hours.
Same on my side. Completed the mission on PS5 Friday and still no tracksuit duck.
(But donāt know if the 48h-delay is working days-only or not.)
I will bring it up today. There must be something we can do to optimize that.
Would it be possible to just make these normal challenges? It being a ioi account reward doesnāt really seem necessary to me and just means you have to wait for something thatād usually be instant like the suits
I assume the goal is to get more people to register for IO Accounts so they get signed up for the email list as well to promote new content/discounts etc.
Iāve obtained the Tracksuit duck right now ![]()
I got the tracksuit duck tooā![]()
Another problem is that the target is too long, yes I could go upstairs and immediately kill the dragon but the main issue is that if you do it normally (or do the 2nd level of the infiltratorās arcade) it just takes forever for the matches to end (if you donāt have the judge outfit) and takes so much more time in comparison to other targets
Finally got a chance to play The Infiltrator after missing it first time round. Onto level 2 of the ET Arcade mission and (after quite a bit of trial & error) Iām on a run, doing great, got it all figured out. Iām Siekerāing Concord saboteurs & other contestants at rapid pace. I get right to the end of the tournament, with Bruce facing the Dragon on the mat, all within 15 minutes.
Then⦠SOFTLOCK. They just stand there, bouncing, never starting the fight. All that for nothing.
Incredibly annoying glitch, of course, but something Iād likely be willing to overlook if this were a Bonus Mission with saves enabled. But as an Elusive Target? Unforgivable.
Ok, something just went wrong here. I just attempted the mission, and everything was going great. But, when the time came for Xiao Hu to do bench presses, the other guy who is usually there, whom she just beat in a match, went there as usual. Perhaps Iām remembering wrong from the last time I did this, but after their fight, since she just beat him, doesnāt she go to lift the weights so she can be killed with them? This threw everything off for me, killing her with the weights is my method, but I canāt remember now if there was another step that Iām missing.
Ok, so donāt know why that last one didnāt go as I remember, but I tried again and this time after the fight, I hindered the guy who does the bench presses so that Xiao Hu got there first, allowing me to proceed with my usual method. Donāt remember having to do it like that during the original run, but whatever works. Finished the whole thing, SASO, 5 stars, 3 accident kills and one outsource, only one KO caused by a banana peel, HPP adhered to. Flawless.
If both are available, itās pure luck based on who gets there first, afaik.
I donāt think it aligns with your particular playstyle, but the easiest way to do the weights is to set up a match between Mateo Garcia & Sita Achari - this clears the room of all potential witnesses (besides Agent Lee himself)
