From my experience, targets only attempt to poison Lee if they are next to have a match against him. So, you can match the targets between each other or make a quick change right before the break ends and make them face Lee without getting a chance to poison him.
He does.
So it might possible.
In that case you canāt change the order. So you need to have Lee ābeatā all three.
He will get drugged. You can heal him once in those circumstances.
And you can take his place on a second poisoning, I think. I do not know if it void the in-game āclear handā restriction.
Serving to the targets will be hampered by enforcers.
But the Waiter and the Kitchen Staff disguise are still in the basement.
Syringe opportunities are natively present.
And then there are the Sieker and Durian.
In the absolute itās even possible to delay all the opponents just by bumping into them.
Thatās a possible SASONKO even it the arcade level 2.
But
The fundamental wish is a run build on mastering the whole system of the tournament, of the antidotes, of the social hierarchy, the puzzle elements, the level itself.
Then putting everything together in the most āI was never hereā run possible.
Without approaching or interacting with the targets. And some RP.
With a placed guard disguise it could even be āPrompt Only Social SANKOā, my personal grail run.
No crouching, no vaulting, no running, no knockout, no throwing, no dropping, no shooting, yes to placed disguise, yes to undercover start, always standing tall, always walking and nudging just the right things in place. It makes me dialogue with the whole game. Itās a peaceful end point.
So as much as the letter of the NKO clean hand wish might be possible with emetic galore.
Not the spirit.
Sincere and friendly.
I watch you Featured Contract runs.
You are on one side of the Silent Assassin gameplay slide, Iām on the opposite.
You deconstruct. I harmonize.
Both are great! Yet, itās not the same. I hope you understand what I mean. ![]()
I really like this one, since it doesnāt hold your hand throughout. I just barely made it out alive though. After a few tries I thought Iāll be smart and just go and eliminate the target, not knowing, that I still have to help Lee win the tournament and then shit hit the fan, because someone saw me pushing the girl out the window. They werenāt amused about that and ⦠lets just say, it wasnāt the cleanest job 47 ever did.
When people are saying the DLC is time-limited, does that mean that thereās a limited window to make the purchase but then you can play it āforeverā, or does it mean that once the window ends the Elusive Target Arcade content goes away even if you already purchased it?
Things like that have been common in the past and almost every time it was the second way: Purchase is limited, but you keep what you buy and can replay forever
Has anyone tried getting the refereeās disquise. I already played the mission and arcade contract. Iāve seen many ways, including SASO which is what I did for the main mission and level 1, but used disguise for level 2.
Also, has anyone after Lee gets drugged, getting the Antidote from Zen and handing it to Lee?
Each time, I have gotten to the first threat by the office, before he has a chance to go to the bar to spike Leeās drink.
Once you purchase it you can still play it after it gets taken down (just like how you can still play the Disruptor if you bought it before it was removed from sale).
I spent some time tinkering around in this mission yesterday, and it slowly grew on me more and more. Thank you IO for continuing to try new things and push the boundaries of the sandbox. New life has been breathed into Bangkok. That is possibly an even bigger success over The Banker considering how people generally regard Paris vs Bangkok.
The new fight dynamics are exciting. Havenāt picked up on a specific pattern, so having to react to tells adds suspense to the match. Itās a cool evolution of the Ambrose slap fights. Not even sure you could lose those slap fights and they didnāt really matter to the mission, so the stakes are much higher here.
Itās nice that Dianaās back to her old self. I guess she was embarrassed by her smothering hand-holding and uncharacteristically bad advice in The Banker.
That being said, her intel would have been better received if it werenāt battling four other people talking. There were times so many lines of dialogue were playing over each other it was like being on mushrooms. Suddenly, I was craving orange juice.
Itās been a little funny reading people overreacting to Bruce getting drugged and finding the antidote. Seems IO learned a lesson from The Banker, but the fix is sort of anti-climactic. Each planted fighter poisons Bruce when theyāre matched up, but the poison lasts only exactly as long it takes to defeat/disqualify the poisoner from the tournament? You can SASO completely ignoring the antidote and letting Bruce stumble around while you win the fights. Poor guy gets brought back to life just to get drugged and undrugged all day.
On a heady note, two main choices make this ET stand out from the rest of WoA. 1) The celebrity is not the target 2) In real life, the celebrity is already dead. Rather than plugging a living celebrity into the game for us all to kill, IO has brought a celebrity back from the dead and tasked us with keeping him alive. Add to that, the Dragon Headās reaction to recognizing Bruce is like heās seeing a ghost. Then, he vows to kill him again, this time for good, but if youāve gotten that far, Bruce wins. He lives on. Thatās not expanding the sandbox. Thatās turning it upside down.
Today, Iām going to explore the rest of the hotel and try to poison Zen before fighting him. Got him with Huās poison yesterday, but he took the antidote.
EDIT: Also, Agent Smith was missed. He couldāve and shouldāve been a participant in the tournament. It would have been fun to fight him. It would have been endearing for him to refuse to fight 47 like the class act that he is.
>Kinda makes me wish there were a placed Concord Union Guard disguise hidden away somewhere.
Iāll ponder this a bit⦠Maybe a good thing to sneak in next patch!
Often those contracts limit how long a product can be sold and marketed. He will always be in the DLC.
Iāve the perfect place you could put it too:
I thought it was kinda weird going into this suite doesnt have as many goodies as the others on the same floor: Jackieās old sweet and the one next to 47ās both bring him to balconies to go upwards, so I think placing a lock-pickable locker or safe with a code that when you crack it gives you a loose concord disguise would be pretty cool. Iād vote for the code to be 1973 since this is based so heavily on Enter the Dragon. Maybe the safe could also have a spare antidote
As for the mission itself? I love it! This is one of the most detailed ETs weāve gotten and it really does transform Bangkok is such a positive way that I think some of changes could be imported into the main mission, namely with navigation. I wish some other things got changed, like that pipe on the walkway from one side of the hotel to another couldāve made another great entryway rather than going just down to the tuktuk and I also think an extra exit thatās just sleeping 47ās room would completely eliminate the mapās problems of having to walk around an exit but I think the idea of having to neutralize threats is such a clever idea because these targets can be foiled by distractions, sickness or KOing. It feels very Dishonored
Also I havent confirmed this yet but does poisoining your opponent if youāre Cutmore (in this case itād be zenās coke) make it so he doesnt ever try to attack you? I got caught and killed trying to test it
I actually really like that this mission isnt nearly as handholdy as others have been. they couldve just as easily had an intel bit pop up that says āsomething in this room will be a clue to the codeā
Also I wish the Jade dagger was a Black Almond reskin
Iāve been playing for a while now, trying to complete this ET, and I have to admit itās one of the most challenging objectives that have been introduced so far. For the first time in a while, I feel like Iām playing real Hitman - where I have to figure things out on my own, solve problems, or find answers. It requires a lot of restarts, but itās also incredibly satisfying.
Right now, Iām at the second step of the Arcade, and Iām not sure if I fully understand what Iām supposed to do - or rather, what Iām not allowed to do. Itās says that any elimination must be done by someone else, but in second sentence that you can eliminate threats only with non-lethal ways. So I can elimate them my self, or I canāt? I donāt understand it. Non-lethal elimination is still an elimination duh.
This ET does come with some issues, though:
-
If you use any kind of sedative poison or a banana on Roland Chau, you automatically lose Silent Assassin status (bug?)
-
Sometimes fight between fighters stuck and mission wontāt go futher
-
Master card from guards doesnāt allow you to enter to every room
-
Canceling payment for Roland Chau makes that nothing happend (bug?)
-
Is there any possibility to enter office withouth having a Office Card? Only one way to get it is to sedative Roland and that make you loose SA
-
Fighter over a bar have a Cross band voice, which sound bad
-
What is the point of whole invitation if you can use Bartender or Fighter suit from bar to enter upper floor without an invitation.
I think it makes him head back into his office? I trigged it in a earlier run and I tampered the computer in that run too, maybe that triggered it
To the second level of the arcade:
Main objective
- Jialong Wu is eliminated by Agent Lee at the end of the tournament.
Other threats
- Each of the potential threats can be excluded from the tournament without being eliminated. One disqualification (only once) and the others because they will miss the start of their round (emetic).
But in all the absurdity of the situation - you canāt get into the room without the āOffice Cardā, which only Ronald has. To get it you have to drug him, and that means you could eliminate him, so why would you then bring him back to the office?
The guardsā Master Card doesnāt allow entry to that room, using other means like a scrambler or a breaching charge makes everyone notice you. So Iām wondering what the point of this whole option is? You also canāt get into the room through the windows.
So you canāt just knock them out by hand?
Two ways i can see you getting into the room
-
wait for Ronald to leave and have the door open, then slip on in, using the computer to lure him back into the room
-
emp device? Could that work? I havenāt tested it
Basically, you canāt kill the targets and they have to participate in the competition and lose (47 canāt be the one to defeat them), while the main target dies in a fight to the death after Lee wins the competition.
You can get in when he gets out. It is a little tricky, but I managed it, when he had to go to a fight. He left trhough the door he usually enters the office through and I sneaked in before the door closed. I did the thing on his laptop and after he won his fight, he immediately came running back into the office where I eliminated him.
Another way would be a hacking device for the doors, but you would have to distract everyone around of course. But it is a way to get in there.
And I have not tested it, but the bodyguard of Wu (the main target) has access to all rooms upstairs. Maybe that works on the office too.
