Elusive Target #38: THE HARBINGER - Patient Zero REQUIEM, ft Milla Jovovich (25 February - 24 March 2026)

I’m not expecting any connection to the Patient Zero campaign. The term “patient zero” is a real term and not something made up for Hitman so it’s probably just its own thing.

Yes, but the fact that there has already been content that has explicitly used that title, and this is referred to as “ Requiem”, suggests that this may not simply be a tie-in to the new Resident Evil game, but a closing chapter to the Patient Zero campaign, which was left open-ended as far as the greater story was concerned. It’s certainly possible that it’s unrelated, but if so, IOI chose that title deliberately, knowing what it would get the fans talking about.

That would be far from the worst things that they’ve done.

I don’t really have anything to prove that it’s going to be unrelated to the campaign, it’s just a gut feeling.

It’s not that it’s a bad thing if they were trying to get us thinking about the original Patient Zero even if it’s not really connected, but if it’s not, if it’s just tying in to Resident Evil, why name it something that would make us think about something else instead of the thing they’d want us to think about going into it?

We’ll see this Wednesday if the voices in my dreams are right.

Agree here. Given the theme of the ET, and the Ether connection, I gotta believe that this is somehow tied into the Patient Zero campaign. I think your idea of it being an epilogue would be nice.

The post-mission cutscene of PZ shows 47 locating a new target somewhere, but that was likely just a stylistic bone they threw us.

Yeah, that was a different target for a different contract, if I interpret that scene correctly. Diana was just following up with 47 on where things stood with Liberation and Nabazov’s virus, considering the global stakes that were involved, and then he spots his new target.

Nice to see more “dark” outfits (and tactial gears in general) and I think the ticket is gonna work like a keycard reader (with hopefully an added function like the Mr. Chainsaw Jr.).
What I’d really like to see is more interactions added on the freelance side (without removing items) like the chainsaw statue.

I also wonder who the new ETs will be… (and I hope they won’t be limited like the recent ones…)

I have not been this exited for a new ET in a long time. If they did add a brand new underground layer to Dartmoor, that would be amazing, I don’t think any new mission added in the last couple years has made changes to a map of that degree. The fact that is a public event inside the mansion should also change the way you approach the level. This looks really cool.

The only downside is that this seems to be the mission that will be hurt the most for not having contracts mode support. All the effort they put into this shouldn’t have gone to an ET

Not to mention, and once again: Mumbai, New York, Haven, Ambrose, all sitting utterly unused. Hawk’s Bay, Miami, Santa Fortuna, Whittleton Creek, Dubai, all one-and-done. Hawk’s Bay could have been reworked to have an underground section and a crowd on the beach.

IOI, you impress with something every season, but the ways in which you disappoint, inexplicably, continue to be the ways in which you disappoint.

Agree, H2 maps have been neglected, the only one that got a new ET was the one that already had 2. Hopefully the next ETs give some love to the H2 maps and/or Ambrose, the latter doesn’t even have an escalation.

Used to think that as well, but given that the only noteworthy additions to the game in the past few years have come in the form of celebrETs, while the plethora of bugs and glitches introduced with H3 remains unanswered, the game has effectively turned into a disk space waster for me…

Its no secret that for awhile I fell into a bit of an anti-IO stance for the better part of last year, but Arti’s arrival has opened up communication lines so much that I’m actually quite hopeful that a bit of the stuff posted in the bug thread late last year might make the patch notes this week as being fixed since I’ve learned over the last few months that Arti 100% cares and passes on things that need it.

One thing that would be great to see make a return would be for things on the radar that aren’t fixed in the upcoming patch is if the Known Issues page on Zendesk came to life again. The page hasn’t seen any action since the lead up to the v3.160 patch in August 2023. It was great when it was being actively used.

@IOI_Artjoms FYI. Yes, another ping from me. :joy: Also,

Oh that page is a good one! I was not aware of that one. :open_mouth:

I will ask internally who is heading the process on that one or if it has been abandoned. I totally agree it would be cool to have this. Would also help me with answering some requests if the issue is known or not. Thanks for bringing this up.

I could very well be a conclusion to the Patient Zero campaign, but it could be where 47 is tying up loose ends during the present Freelancer days? Would be cool to see him revisiting Dartmoor again post H3 epilogue and seeing Alexa’s grave sealed over and the further changes to the Manor, very much like what happened with the Dartmoor Garden show.

looks like a hidden entrance behind a bookshelf

Kinda looks like the hidden entrance on Alexa’s office. Maybe the lab will be in there instead of underground?

Maybe Lilith Devereux will be waiting for 47 there… where she reveals that she’s the estranged, illegitimate adult child of Oybek Nabazov, and this is all about revenge!

it’s a slightly adjusted version of the secret room above the library (i think).
There also isn’t anything under it on the first floor, so it might be some sort of secret ladder entrance
