Wow, this last choices of ETs have been great, and finally a female target, I was getting tired of this sausage fest. If I may suggest an actress for the next one: Jodie Foster would also be awesome.
I think this is the first celebrET to have connections with the greater lore of WOA, which I really like and It’s on Dartmoor, which I like even more. This might become my favorite ET, unless IO ruins it by adding an insta fail complication or by making the DLC time limited, but I’m certain they have learned form their mistakes… right IOI? Surely they wouldn’t be so stupid to make the same idiotic decision three times in a row… right IOI? We can be confident that good’ol IO wouldn’t resort to FOMO, the lowest and most disgusting common denominator, to sell this ET… … RIGHT IOI?
Now, If were to guess the plot of this mission, I would say that she got a hold of the info that Liebleid managed to obtain from Navazov’s virus before he died, and now plans recreate it and combine it with Caruso’s research to create a new super virus that she is secretly testing in Dartmoor.
With the ripping off of the Resident Evil stuff and the continuation of Patient Zero I’m expecting the big twist of this mission to be that the Nabazov virus is still active and that Lilith Devereux has developed it to turn it’s victims into zombies, reusing assets from the scrapped outbreak gamemode from Hitman 2.
If not, then I think IOI’s game devs need to seriously reconsider what they find appropriate for the format.
At this rate they’ll put it on Linux by the end of 2026.
I actually have a Netflix sub and renew it reasonably often, so I might give this a try. Though the lack of cross-progression on these ports will continue to annoy me.
The missions have been really complex and have been struggling to keep within the ET mould for a while now. The Splitter is just about manageable, but the Infiltrator was the final straw that broke the camel’s back, so much so they tried to rework the clues to be more intuitive (not that it helped being infested with guard sightlines or lots of side objectives and a still easy to miss safe objective)
To Patient Zero could be linked even a remake for pc and consoles of the sniper mobile mission Death Valley. It could be nice if al those missions, from two meaningless mobile games (I think this of all mobile games), become sniper maps in the real Hitman franchise
Ok, this got me really excited! I love Milla Jovovich in all her roles (even as a singer). Always thought she would make a great CelebrET but didn’t believe this could happen as she really isn’t that mainstream anymore.
Don’t know if I can kill her. But I’ll try.
(Funny enough I was just rewatching all the Resident Evil movies last week)
A female celebrET is a good choice. With Milla Jovovich, the mission feels very Resident Evil-like:
The Ether connection with Umbrella.
The Dartmoor Manor who shares some vibes with the Spencer Mansion.
The propagation of a virus.
It not the correct timing (it’s not Halloween) for the introduction of zombies inside this mission. But, it wouldn’t suprise me if this mission is like the Eminem mission, in a kind of a bad dream.
On a last note, about Milla, I’m not a fan of Re movies, I always far prefer the video games (especially the very first game). Never expect one day to see a cross between Hitman and RE
Imagine making a sequel to Patient Zero 8.5 years later… and confining it to the terrible ET formula.
Let us hope @IOI_Artjoms forwards the sentiments many have from my comment in the other thread and stop IO from shooting themselves (and us) in the foot
A) Has an actual character, not just a celebrity playing a fictionalized version of themselves
B) Has an apparent lore connect in the Devereux name, Ether and the Carlisle estate.
C) Has an ET whose graphical quality is much higher than the Eminem one (face scanned?)
D) Apparent connections to Patient Zero, as well as musical and thematic references to Resident Evil.
Lore note: Hitman Absolution’s Death Factory mission also contained reference to the Ether Umbrella Corporation
Yeah this is the main one for me. I was worried after 2 in a row this would be the direction of any future ones. I’m not a fan of the celeb just playing themselves really and much prefer a character that fits into the hitman universe.
I would love to see the Umbrella Corporation somehow work its way into a Hitman mission. My favorite video game antihero taking on my favorite video game villain, I’d be fanboying like crazy!
Just read through the forum and I’m excited for this. I’m a massive fan of the resident evil games and this feels very much resident evil. I think it’ll work really well on the map of Dartmoor.
I think what will happen is she has infected herself or somehow found a way to infect others but maybe it’s at its deadliest form.
in terms of where it’s at in the story I can definitely see this taking place after the main game in the trailer the house looks empty and Alexa’s office is covered in cobwebs, maybe the Carlisles couldn’t live there anymore and left the house to decay it would explain the resident evil type vibe to it. Maybe Gregory is giving her the house to use a base of operation to help with the virus.
I just hope they actually remove Zachary’s body out of his room. Poor guys been in every mission.
and finally a female ET though I think If they’re doing a continuation of patient zero they should have made a separate DLC like they did the first one. Because it’s most definitely going to be an easy elusive target.
I think for the future IO should have a difficulty rating for there missions so that new players know to play it on arcade mode before doing there actual attempt or better yet give us all the ET ever as a permanent unlock found in their respected locations as missions with no complications
Only just now watched the teaser and I’m excited for the ET, especially celebET in Dartmoor.
I guess that means transforming the map into something new and hope this ET will be interesting.
As it’s on Dartmoor, probably it will be my most played Arcade (if there be one) if they won’t spice it with silly restrictions
