or after hokkaido 's PZ
funnily I still hear the scream of the fake NPCs lol
Shame my recording fucked out - but I just got a 7:07 Silent Assassin run of the Mission Story.
You can kill Lilith by throwing a molotov at the glass as she starts to walk away at the end of her big infection speech. Sheāll go through the death animation twice and appear to survive - but once she walks through the doors and would otherwise teleport back upstairs, she dies instead and stays in the lab. When exiting the lab, the one NPC will still get infected, but you easily just go up, syringe her and then escape.
I believe thatās what the generation younger than me calls a skill issue.
Anyone have the soundtrack used for when the outbreak starts?
It almost sounded like a remix of the OG Patient Zero soundtrack from 2016(nothing could top that, letās be real here), but I canāt remember it too well since I only heard it one time.
I canāt say Iāve paid much attention to the music in the mission, but hereās the tracks that play in the OST in the Freelancer safehouse. Is what youāre after in here?
Iāve extracted all the music for you here: ![]()
https://github.com/blossomfox0/Blossom-Fest/releases/download/release/Filur.Music.zip
One folder has all of the music for the mission made up of 80 different layers / tracks (starting at 0). Another folder has the 4 tracks that you can play in the safehouse which are a combination of them.
Itās about 600mb, 700 when extracted.
Iām not too sure which files you are after though, there is quite a few to sift through.
<3
25-79 are regular Dartmoor things
44 is a cut french kinda stinger though?
Maybe the In-Flu-Ential duck was the friends we made along the way
Even dropping an item on the floor (I suppose distracting many NPCs at once) managed to set off the worried crowd sounds.
Calm down⦠just a screwdriver on the floor
yeah, itās kinda annoying
Nice I figured out the same thing last night with the Molotov after trying almost everything else, for the woman that still gets infected I just set up a banana peel, leaking propane tank and micro taser trap for her before going down to the lab, I also found you can do a rat poison lure on Lilith by attaching an illegal item to the poison and you can get her to follow you anywhere
What is? That the mission story itself takes at least 15 minutes to play itself out? (Not mentioning the optional and mandatory exploration.) Or that if you donāt start running for the lab exit instantly after the ET injects herself, you die there?
Hello everyone, so Iāve finally had the opportunity to play the ET properly beyond when I first played it quickly with a safe SA in mind to preserve the mainline ET mission completion!
Wow! Theyāre really put a ton of effort and design into this mission, like many of you have noticed already. A new time of day, new NPCs, new dialogue, even non-subtitled dialogue, and new disguises! Really is fantastic to see this late into the gameās cycle, and shows what is still capable of the dev team despite the vast majority of resources pooled into their other upcoming games now. I thought the ET was well played and acted, and served as a great homage continuation to the Patient Zero campaign.
Mechanically, I know some people do not like the whole infected schtick given that it can quickly grow out of control especially if you end up panicking people. However, it was refreshing to see that youāre not all alone in this, and Ether themselves work to contain the virus in the only way they can for something so deadly as Nightshade is made out to be! What surprised me is that how many guards in the mansion were actually cult operatives, especially those talking to Lilith herself. I wondered as to why they chose to still wear gas masks when they still wanted to die together? Surely, they would not bother wearing the gas masks to maximise mass infection and casualties rates? Anyways, I really did enjoy reading and listening to all of the dialogue.
The hidden and then unlockable mission stories was quite something too, and a homage to how H3 handled it in some of those levels. Given that this works post-campaign, it makes sense from a dev time point of view and the fact that these missions are no longer supported by a vast team of ICA operatives other than just Diana and 47 which is what we have now. So far, Iāve managed to unlock the herbs story mission, the one that unlocks the 12 minute starting location and the cult tooth story mission. I wonder if there is anymore that players have discovered?
Lastly, I do really think that the ET format is cutting this mission at the knees for how it is handled, like many of you have said already. Our great community manager has already informed us that he will be looking into it, so Iām hopeful that eventually the format will be changed or at least these celeb ET missions will be given a bit more freedom so we are able to save etc, because the level of creativity and hard work gone into these missions so far is hampered by the restrictions of the Elusive Target format. I donāt know if IOI will be brave enough to retire the format, but whether a compromise can be reached for these celeb ET levels, I am hopeful that something can be done. There must be as much level headedness for all player types and skill levels as possible - allowable saving, allowing mission restarts⦠I can see how nerve racking this ET mission would have been for a completely new player who joined off of the free demo.
Thank you for reading all, and Iām also pleased to say I managed to get my Influential duck too, so hereās hoping others can get it as well!
So, Iām finally in a position where I can attempt this ET at last, and based off of a lot of what Iāve read from the rest of you, I have a few questions that I need the answer to in order to decide what path Iām gonna take for the official ET.
Can you:
A) Go all the way through the main story mission without skipping any dialogue or taking any kind of shortcut to the mission story, and also
B) Prevent any of the NPCs from becoming infected, or cure any who become infected before the Ether soldiers execute them, while
C) Getting the Ether soldiers to kill Devereux, and all while
D) Not running or taking any disguises?
I need to know which, if any, of these is a ānoā, and what the effects are on those that are a āyesā as a result.
@thrison @BlossomFox Wow you guys are on it! Thank you, this was indeed what I was referring to:
And wow
How extremely handy - youāre awesome, Blossom!
Having listened to it again now without the added distraction of trying not to die (haā¦), it feels very Plague Inc.
OG Patient Zero soundtrack still reigns supreme as suspected tbh
Iām not sure what the first point refers to. Can you go through the main story mission without skipping any dialogue? Yes as far as I know. Why would anyone skip dialog? How would they do so? Not sure what you mean by āshortcut to the mission storyā either. You can take the target out before she ever goes into the lab or wait until after.
You can prevent every non-player character from getting infected or cure those who did get infected without any of them interacting with Ether if you want.
I killed the target myself every time I played it so I canāt speak to the circumstances which get Ether to kill the target instead. Iāll let someone else answer that.
You donāt ever have to run nor do you have to change into another outfit. I know your parameters of perfection donāt allow changing disguises.
A: Yes, that point alone can be done without running or Disguises.
B: Yes, but you will have to run if you want to prevent the infection from reaching the crowd. If you do allow the infection to reach the crowd, the timing will be a bit tight to cure every NPC before ETHER executes them while also not running.
C: Yes, but you will need at least 1 Disguise change.
D: See previous points.
Minor spoiler for the Infection: If you take out three specific NPCs before going down into the lab, Lilith will never spread the infection to anyone unless you manually lure her downstairs.
Those NPCs are Gregory (isolates himself in two different rooms), the maid in the Library (mostly isolated until Lilith enters the lab), and a specific female party guest that you will have to isolate yourself. You can see a picture of that guest in this post
Manifesto Mission Story. Itās the second part of the ET when you come back from the lab.
