I’m going to buy this but only really because I like IOI and Hitman enough to ignore the fact that Snoop is kinda dead to me after he ..politics-redacted..

But in The Farewell and The Banker, he’s voiced by Alexander McMorran. Not unusual, as IO isn’t very consistent with VA’s, but unusual here, since both Fuller and McMorran are still making appearances in game as NPC’s.

I take it, judging from the trailer etc, this is one of 47 and Diana’s Freelance sanctioned hits? :slightly_smiling_face:

Out of curiosity, where did you get the number of challenges from? This is exactly what I’ve wanted from these ETs, so if you’re right, I’ll be in heaven! (or Haven lol)

It’s in the announcement on the website:

The Herbalist Pack, a brand new DLC pack themed after the latest Elusive Target, will also be available, starting August 27th and on all platforms. Including both The Visionary Arcade contract and The Herbalist Assignment including 16 challenges, …

Oh my gosh, yay! Special Assignment featuring challenges to complete? Hopefully they can do the same for previous special ETs

Promoting drugs. IOI really has no shame when it comes to money.

Sorry but not sorry. Look, I am very happy about the success of Hitman. Everyone here on this forum knows me and when my passion for this game started but I actually feel embarrassed of what it has become.

Alright, it’s all canon or whatever, it is fun sometimes but it angers me a bit of how commercial and mainstream Hitman is now.

Let’s face it. Every VIP elusive target when interviewed they all have the same script and go about how they love Hitman because of the mechanics of the game and freedom to do what they please sounding like a mother explaining Pokemon to other parents.

But this is not Hitman. We real fans are not fans of the ā€œmechanicsā€ and ā€œfreedomā€ of the game. We are in love with the character, the story and the emotions it gave us thru time.

It was fun when it was McGregor, VanDame or Milla. Eminem was indeed a blessing and I bought it as soon ad it came out. But putting in someone who is only fame goes around smoking weed? C’om on… I draw a line here and this comes from someone who has pothead friends.

But I do get it. They reached a peak, they need more audience to generate money.

For me Hitman remains that killer with a touch of classic music and style. What it is now… It just represents the shitshow world we live in.

Thanks all for reading.

What are you talking about man. The mechanics and the freedom of Hitman is exactly what most people love about it. People always talked about how the story was the least important thing around 2016 and H2. Maybe if you’ve played the pre-2016 games then the story may be more integral, but it’s pretty untrue to claim that all the real fans are fans of the story. Freedom and mechanics and emergent gameplay is like the main thing that sets hitman out from every other game. A lot of people have thousands of hours, are real fans, and only have passing knowledge of the story

I do agree that modern hitman is somewhat embarrassing right now, but for other reasons. Mostly the deluge of DLCs. But still, it’s mostly fine

Well, in fairness, drugs have been part of Hitman for a long time. I’m not even talking about just poisons that 47 uses. There have been ā€œcannabis jointsā€ in the game for a while and most of Santa Fortuna is centered around the drug trade. Having a celebrity who happens to be a well known advocate of drug use isn’t really that out of left field.

And ultimately, the world is gearing toward a future where the use of that particular substance is acceptable. I’d be more concerned if they had a celebrity know for going on benders being presented as endorsing alcohol. That’s a substance that has done more harm to the world than weed could ever do.

Back in the days, we hated on people who have started with Blood Money and this was 2007. In my case is Hitman 2016. Times indeed changes and new generation comes ahead.

Don’t get me wrong, the new generation of Hitman is something we couldn’t even dream prior 2010 but for me or us who have started with Codename 47, the story probably counts more than the gameplay.

I just have no sympathy for celebrities who acts as they know the Hitman franchise. They just say what they are paid to say.

A big thing I hate is when I see weed skins in games. Especially call of duty but I let that game go a long time ago.

Guess I’m becoming a boomer :joy:
