Elusive Target #7: THE LIABILITY (Year 6: 22 - 31 May 2026)

Perfect. Even by the standards of the Heisenberg Parameters of Perfection, this was an impressive mission that went off without a hitch. Using @Monwil’s input, I finally attempted to kill the target by pushing a cement bag on top of him, and I got it on the first fucking try. I set two coins in the right spot to lead him to stand under the bag, but it turns out I could have just used one, but no harm either way, kicked the bag onto him and - squish! - that was all she fucking wrote. Even found a new path to get up to that spot from the roof that I’d never found before since I’d only used that method once the very first time I played Apex Predator. Walked out like I owned the place, tragic accident, perfect score. I can finally check that one off my list.

Same thing I did before, but smoother and uncut.

There was more complicated thing I failed to pull off a while ago, but too much hassle now, maybe next time.

Oh no, I shouldn’t have played with that crane…

Almost forgot this guy was coming, it’s been so long since the last ET, and I might have missed him if I hadn’t seen the most recent post here. Thanks @BradleyPaine

Anyway, continued with my strategy for Year 5 ETs, and although the Liability meets the qualifications for a direct assassination as set down in how I intended to proceed for the year, he’s one of the exceptions, since I cannot pass up an opportunity to kill this guy with an accident. Since I had already used electrocution on the Broker a few months ago, I decided to repeat my method from last year and kick the bag of cement mix onto his head. Laid a single coin right below the spot, went outside to where the crane is and near the two guards talking in the corner, there’s a pipe with access to the roof and an open window that leads onto the scaffolding where the cement bag is. This is the best way to get up there without other NPCs seeing the coin if you want to avoid using KOs, emetics or other lures to move the one club staff member away from the ladder; bypass the ladder entirely. Waited for the target to get into position and then scrubbed him. Bugged out through the basement exit door and that was it. SASO, No KO, no poisonings, accident kill. Next.

What I’ve started doing on my alt accounts is trying to complete as many challenges as I can within the ET missions. So for this one I did stuff like killing him with the scrap sword, knocking out the Dealer with a cocaine brick, disguising myself as Florida Man, and taking pictures of the birds and the guy dancing. I tried doing the Trophy Au Natural challenge on The Drop a few months ago but it didn’t work, though it did work for The Liability.

Killed The Liability smart casually. Tried to properly utilize both items from the pack.

Took me a while to figure out the timing. If you ever try to do that, make sure before garroting that both his frens are blindsided and won’t be opening the door.

SA/SO/NKO, fuze box to relocate nearby npc, flying duck at the light rig for an accidental kill.

duck_throw

It’ll never not be funny how you can chuck an explosive somewhere and as long as it’s explosion doesn’t harm the target everything ‘‘accidentable’’ around it doing so is fair game.
Also I almost forgot that we were still getting ETs, since they are almost always the same ones.

I only just noticed one thing about this ET that will now annoy me forever. The tile on the game menus, Terrance isn’t centred within the tile. He’s off to the left.

Battery + water puddle no loadout=dead, played this mission to death in the arcade so it was the perfect test for my new controller ( you PS players have been hiding this wonderful controller from me) after semi retiring my Logitech F710 after 15 yrs (it’s so worn out I’ve actually thinned out the plastic around the DPAD performing quarter circle motions for so long) so I played it simple.

Not sure whether I should have him walk into the electrified puddle this time, or drop the cement bag on his head. May have to go for a coin flip on this one.

He’s dead. Sniped him from the roof and walked out of the level (changing outfits on the way out for the points).

Somehow got silent assassin.

Started biker, ran out and he approaches the bar right next to your starting location. Durian, drop pistol to distract his entourage, drown, tranq the pizza guy, take his keys and leave via scooter.

Biker loadout, after cutscene immediately shoot the disco ball and escape with bike, done in 19 sec

SA/SO NKO/NE, got the coin from the chill out area, placed two audio distractions (basic one attached on the wall near the sitting guard and micro one near the middle stairs) and coin on the edge of the canal, kept bumping into the two NPCs following him to stall, activated the noise machines (first basic then after the micro) as soon as the ET got close to its gift (making sure to get into position first AND that both “bodyguards” were far away enough and weren’t watching in my general direction, civilians included) and helped him get over his fear of water

public_push

This was quite a lenghy description because the timing is really tight and a lot can go wrong such as someone hearing the noise from the scuffle or an NPC randomly watching from far away (especially a certain one who sometimes sits on the juice bar side chairs), but it’s still somewhat consistent (and you have a lot of leeway to reset while doing it unless you get caught at the last moment).

I also did this twice because I somehow got myself softlocked into the staff room (apparently if someone opens and closes the door for you both doors remain locked from the inside, leaving you stuck there if you have no way to get out).

SASONKO, default loadout (fiber wire + coins), garroted.

That was… Surprisingly easy. Took an inspiration from this run and optimized it:

Last year I was struggling so much with an NKO wire kill - couldn’t do it with only a coin, so had to switch to Smart Casual loadout. And now I was mentally prepared to waste even more time, try even more convoluted stunts, but it turned out to be that simple.

Man, if you’re still around - you’re genius. I’d put a link to your vid in the desc, but I don’t know if you want that, since you hid your videos. Either way, thanks for the idea, you saved me a lot of trouble.
